Officers attacks innocent senior war veteran. Wrong guy due to zero investigation work by a terrible officer. Officers with the Sulphur Police Department in Louisiana responded to a disturbance call at American Legion Post 179. The dispatch alleged that a man in a purple shirt was acting aggressively and... hitting people inside. When officers arrived, they immediately fixated on Johnny, the local American Legion Post Commander, who was standing in the middle of the room. Johnny complied with orders to step outside, entirely unaware that the officers thought he was the suspect. Store employees reported that she was desperately trying to escape her boyfriend, who had chased her inside. A Massachusetts police department submitted a request for a warrant to Facebook to obtain the name and identity behind a burner account that they say was harassing one of their officers, who also happens to be the son of the chief of police. The warrant was approved by a clerk magistrate and the department learned the identity was that of a police officer from a neighboring town. The only problem? Many found the alleged harassing posts to not be harassing at all and the city council has called for an investigation. The corporation counsel for the city of Fall River says the city council can not call for the investigation, only the mayor can, who has stated the police did nothing wrong.

A Massachusetts police department submitted a request for a warrant to Facebook to obtain the name and identity behind a burner account that they say was harassing one of their officers, who also happens to be the son of the chief of police. The warrant was approved by a clerk magistrate and the department learned the identity was that of a police officer from a neighboring town. The only problem? Many found the alleged harassing posts to not be harassing at all and the city council has called for an investigation. The corporation counsel for the city of Fall River says the city council can not call for the investigation, only the mayor can, who has stated the police did nothing wrong.

A teen who was assaulted and slammed by a Warren police officer during booking has filed a $50 million lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed this week by Fieger Law. Matthew Rodriguez, 48, an officer with 14 years on the force, was charged Friday with assault and battery charges. Warren police announced Monday that he had been fired According to the lawsuit, the teen suffered physical and mental damage due to excessive force, and the city of Warren failed to properly train the officer. "Officer Matthew, with the specific intent to intimidate and/or harass Plaintiff, as a result of his race and/or ethnicity, caused physical contact with Plaintiff by striking him in the head and/or face with a fist and pulling him off the ground by his hair," the lawsuit reads. The lawsuit also says that the two other officers in the video failed to intervene and help the teen. “This is one of the most flagrant cases of police misconduct I’ve seen in my entire career as a trial attorney. The sheer violence and disregard for human life that these three officers showed is despicable and cannot be tolerated," said James Harrington of Fieger Law. The incident happened early this week at the Warren police department. The video shows the officer punching and grabbing the 19-year-old by his locs before slamming & launching him into his cell. Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer says an investigation was launched after the two officers in the video stepped up and told a supervisor about the incident. One officer was telling Rodriguez "That's enough" multiple times in an attempt to make the officer stop, Dwyer said. At first, they did not know why the officer was attacking him. Within a week, the officer was arrested, charged, and put on unpaid administrative leave, said Dwyer. The officer in the video also was out of policy and was not wearing bodycam. The officer has a lengthy history of alleged accessive force. He currently has two pending lawsuits.

Man finds his way to a jail cell for behavior toward a woman in dollar tree. A female shopper alerted responding officers that while she was shopping she noticed a man by the name of Jensen was being inappropriate trying to take pictures of her from above to try and check her out so to speak. She provided police with a distinct physical description of the suspect, including his clothing and appearance. Officers entered the store, identified the suspect matching the description, and immediately moved to detain him. As officers placed him in handcuffs and escorted him out to the patrol vehicles, the situation escalated emotionally. The suspect started to lose his cool, revealing that he was currently on probation and expressing panic over the prospect of serving significant prison time. Throughout the arrest, he repeatedly asked officers to call his girlfriend and legal representation, while denying the victim’s accusations when confronted in the parking lot. Following the investigation, Jansen was formally charged with Exposure of Sexu@l Org@ns and Resisting an Officer Without Violence. His bond was set at $10,000 ($5,000 for each count), which he was unable to post. Jansen was ultimately found guilty on both charges and sentenced to 120 days in county jail.

Ogden City Police officers in Utah responded to a report of potential trespassers at a residence suspected of being under foreclosure. When officers arrived on the scene, they encountered 78-year-old Rand Briem and his 74-year-old wife, Vera, sitting in their vehicle in the driveway. What should have been a routine verification check quickly escalated into a high-stakes civil rights debate and a physical struggle. From the start of the interaction, Mr. Briem vehemently maintained that he was the legal owner of the property. He explained to the responding officers that the home was absolutely not in foreclosure. While a "non-occupancy" notice had been posted on the property, Briem clarified that it applied strictly to a contaminated basement unit—not the main residence. As tensions flared, officers informed Briem that he was being legally detained until they could confirm his identity. The critical turning point occurred when Briem attempted to show his identification. Holding his card out, he stated, "I will show you my driver's license, I will not give it to you." The court filed a Stipulated Motion and Notice of Dismissal With Prejudice, meaning the case has been permanently resolved out of court and cannot be refilled. In short this mean a settlement was reached of an undisclosed amount. This is once again tax dollars being used to bail out actions of officers. The worst part is, the department stands behind the action of the officers and no disciplinary actions were taken.

Thinking back to the time Johnny Hockey hit the 100 point plateau in the 2022 season and his parents were in attendance to see it. They hopped on Flames TV after and had a very heartwarming moment with Johnny. Family first is what we all saw in his time as a Flame. He put his family first in everything he did in his career. So this hits hard and closer to home. Truly devastating. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Gaudreau family on the loss of Johnny and his brother Matthew.

This happened in Atlanta, Texas ( just past Texarkana )yesterday on the highway. A woman was traveling from St. Louis to Texas and a man was walking in the middle of the highway pointing his gun at every car that passed by. He went up to her car and pointed a gun right at the windshield. Officers from the Atlanta Police Department and Queen City Police Department responded to reports of an armed individual. An officer fired at the suspect, hitting him. The suspect was provided first aid at the scene and was then transported to a hospital in Texarkana for treatment. No officers were injured during the incident. At first glance you can see what appears to have been an officer taking a shot and falling down but he may have just tripped after firing his weapon. The officer who shot the suspect has been placed on administrative leave as is department policy. The Texas Rangers are currently leading the investigation into the shooting. That elderly man who appears to have emergency lights on his truck is one tough man himself qs he drew his weapon as his wife hid behind their truck. This is why police officer have my utmost respect. Bad cops sometimes? Yep, as with any profession. But when law enforcement leave their house for the day they never know what awaits them and if they are ever coming back home. I’m glad that no officers, the woman and her kids or any bystanders were hurt. ❤️ Mad respect for those officers. 👏 I’ve had a gun pointed at me twice. Have you ever had a gun pointed at you? It is not a good feeling.

BREAKING: Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office releases bodycam footage of one of its officers shooting and killing U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Roger Fortson. Police had responded to a "disturbance" call and knocked on the wrong door. According to Fortson's girlfriend who was on a FaceTime call with him, Fortson had no clue what was going on when he heard a knock at the door. Out of caution, he retrieved his gun when he didn't hear the officer say anything. When he opened the door, his gun appeared to be facing the ground however the officer shot him anyways. "Step back!" the officer shouted as he began firing. Fortson was shot 6 times and was rushed to the hospital where he died. Rest in peace, Roger.
