XRP gains ISO20022 approval on July 14th…with other cryptos on the list and SWIFT begin integration in November although they must have been doing trials already? I’ve assumed SWIFT/XRP to be an inevitable collaboration. Hence my big XRP punt. If true (likely) then huge!

Oh my God, Ripple and swift, Ripple and all the money, all the banks and nothing. We are always grasping at straws hoping and wishing, praying and begging for something to help XRP. We are hated by most, we always get the shit end of the stick in every scenario. ETFs, nope

The Mojaloop Foundation is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization headquartered in Wakefield, Massachusetts, focused on increasing financial inclusion by promoting interoperable digital payment systems. Founded in 2017 through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Level One Project, it develops and maintains Mojaloop, an open-source software platform designed to enable seamless, low-cost digital financial services for underserved populations, particularly in developing nations. The name "Mojaloop" comes from the Swahili word "moja," meaning "one," symbolizing its goal of creating a unified financial ecosystem. Mojaloop serves as a reference model for building inclusive instant payment systems (IIPS) that connect banks, mobile network operators, merchants, government entities, and other providers, allowing them to offer affordable financial services accessible via mobile phones. It uses Node.js microservices and the Interledger Protocol to facilitate secure, interoperable transactions, reducing costs and technical barriers. The software supports features like merchant requests, multi-currency transactions, and credit checks, aiming to eliminate expensive intermediaries and enable secure digital banking for the unbanked, with nearly 1.7 billion people globally lacking access to such services. The Foundation engages a global community of developers, financial institutions, and regulators, fostering collaboration through events like community meetings and hackathons. It has received significant funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, including $4.7 million in 2020 and $8.5 million in 2023, and is supported by sponsor members like Google, Ripple, and The Rockefeller Foundation. Notable deployments are underway in Rwanda, Mexico, the Philippines, and the COMESA region, with past initiatives like Mowali (a joint venture by Orange and MTN) showcasing its potential, though some projects faced challenges due to regulatory hurdles. By maintaining Mojaloop as a public good, the Foundation aligns with principles like the UN’s DPI Safeguards Framework and the World Bank’s Principles for Financial Market Infrastructure, emphasizing equitable access, privacy, and security to empower underserved communities in the digital economy.
