Imam condemns the terrorist attack in Bondi: “There are repercussions, like this Bondi attack, for preachers who call Jews pigs and monkeys. It is very important to call out antisemitism that is at an elimination level. Imams in Sydney need to be held accountable.” Kevin O'Sullivan | Imam of Peace

The response by the Imams Council in Sydney was disgusting, though entirely predictable. Part of my conversation with Rabbi Yossi Lazaroff, whose son was shot in the Bondi Beach terrorist attack, to convey solidarity, moral clarity, and unity in the face of antisemitic terror.

🚨🇦🇺 AUSTRALIAN PM ALBANESE: BONDI HANUKKAH SHOOTING A TARGETED TERROR ATTACK ON JEWISH COMMUNITY "This is a targeted attack on Jewish Australians on the first day of Hanukkah, which should be a day of joy. An attack on Jewish Australians is an attack on every Australian. This afternoon there has been a devastating terrorist incident at Bondi at the Hanukkah by the Sea celebration. My message to Jewish Australians is that your fellow Australians stand with you tonight in condemning this act of terror, in condemning this outrage. One of the Jewish community leaders said to me that we know where antisemitism leads, that it leads to an attack on everyone, not just Jewish Australians. And this attack at Bondi Beach, of all places, a place of celebration, a place where people particularly in Sydney but from all over the world come to enjoy each other's company." KURDISTAN FREEDOM PARTY BLAMES IRAN FOR SYDNEY HANUKKAH TERROR ATTACK Statement by Hussein Yazdanpana حسین یزدانپناە, President of the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) and General Commander of the Kurdistan National Army. Issued December 14, 2025. The Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) has issued a statement condemning the terrorist attack in Sydney, Australia, where armed attackers opened fire on members of the Jewish community during Hanukkah celebrations. According to Australian security forces, the attack killed 11 people and wounded dozens more. Authorities have confirmed the motive was hatred toward the Jewish community. PAK says the attack cannot be viewed in isolation and points directly to the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling it the central global source of terrorism and instability. The party noted that Australia recently designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. “The thread ultimately leads back to Tehran,” PAK stated, warning that as long as the Islamic Republic remains in power, global security will continue to be under threat. The Kurdistan Freedom Party expressed condolences to the victims’ families and solidarity with the Jewish community, urging the international community to take decisive action against the Iranian regime.

Imam Tawhidi Imam of Peace is helping to set up the Western HQ for the Global Imams Council in Toronto. He says the violence in the streets of Canada is being caused by extremists who hijacked Islam. He says Islamists do not represent his religion and the goal of the GIC is to promote peace and coexistence between Muslims, Jews and Christians with the Abrahamic Accords as their guiding model. What do you think? Is this a good idea?
