Same for Tiruvannamalai too. Power was cut only for a total of 5 hours in the 36 hours it rained heavily.

Power update: The City of Tshwane wishes to inform residents and businesses that work at the 132/11kV Koedoespoort Substation is nearing completion. All transformers have been successfully energised and final testing and commissioning processes have commenced. These critical tests are being undertaken to verify network integrity, stability and the safe operation of the substation prior to the commencement of switching. Once all testing and commissioning activities are concluded and the network is confirmed to be stable and the switching team has conclude the work, the residents will be informed about the phases of restoration of electricity supply. We expect power to be restored by this evening. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the prolonged power outage. City of Tshwane
