Often, I debate Sid Meier's masterpiece: Pirates, Civilization, Colonization, Railroad Tycoon... or Alpha Centauri. All are great, but Alpha Centauri wins it for me. Alpha Centauri (1999), by Sid Meier's Firaxis, is a groundbreaking 4X strategy masterpiece and Civilization's spiritual successor. Players lead one of seven ideological factions that...

Loved the atmosphere in that game, especially the wonder videos. Baraka clips were pretty cool. SMAC and Civ 2 had the best atmosphere. Civ 2's Elvis advisor still hasn't been topped to this day.

Then you are a VERY rare species. But if I had to pick one game I would certainly put Alpha Centauri in the short list (ultimately I still go with Civilization, which you would have liked too, I am certain). Now, I leave you to do more important things than talking to a dude who posts stuff about retro games. I still can't believe some who has a PhD in computational neuroscience decents from the lofty heights of solving world problems to talk about a 26 year old game. Love it though! Made my day!

The trick to function at lofty heights is to descend for air regularly. Civ 1 and 2 were indeed great (and I played them a lot), These games are not just games, but philosophizing about the nature of history and society through their mechanics.

For me, this game got a little lost in the weeds. It had too many details and systems for its own good, losing that magnificent balance between playability and depth that Sid Meier seems to find for his games, and that the best Civ games share, designed by Sid or not.

Civilization was great until they deleted the stack of doom. It created huge problems for the AI. Also, it is unrealistic not to able to have dozens of units in a single square. From Civ V onwards, it's being worse. Civ 4, the best one.

At the end of the day, as I discussed with Jordan Peterson, there are just two games to be played, one real, one Woke. The real game is called civilization. The false game is called power. A long post/๐Ÿงต: The real divide between Woke and not Woke is in power. The Woke game is the power game, and it is a parasite on the real game, which is civilization. Here's roughly how Jordan described the foundation of this idea. There are various rules, norms, etc., in the game society ultimately plays, and these create a hierarchy that is based upon competence, mostly organically, obviously imperfectly. If the rules of the game are good enough, the imperfections (natural corruptions) are minor and society thrives. If they are not, you'll have problems. This is the real game of building society, and it ultimately has to favor competence. This game must be called "civilization" because that's not just its goal but it is also what it does. It civilizes us beyond our base instincts and impulses so we can work together productively in a healthy manner that generates prosperity. As Jordan put it, this game is also a reservoir of value, and reservoirs of value create parasites. What are these civilizational parasites? Theyโ€™re parallel games organized by and around malignant psychopathological modes like Dark Tetrad traits, psychopathy, and Cluster-B disorders: histrionic, borderline, antisocial, and narcissistic. These malignant pathologies render people incompetent except at manipulation, so they cannot rise far in a healthy civilizational hierarchy. What do they do, then, to gain power and status in life in a game they cannot actually play? They define a parasitic parallel game and rope people into playing it. It is parasitic in that it draws off the real game (civilization) and mimics its form so that the hosts (people in society) are less likely to realize itโ€™s there, but it doesnโ€™t build or create of its own. It siphons and tears down. What drives this game is failing to see what makes the civilizational game and the hierarchy it produces legitimate in the first place. This is characteristic of the psychopathologies at its heart. The narcissist imagines the world should be serving himself at the top, but it isnโ€™t. The problem canโ€™t be himself, so it must be that the game is illegitimate. Otherwise, heโ€™d be at the top, but he isnโ€™t. Therefore, the game is corrupt. His histrionic nature makes him a victim of the real game, preying upon emotions like empathy and righteous indignation to recruit followers. Because of his Dark Tetrad alignment, his game is not only illegitimate but toxic. Itโ€™s inherently sadistic, cruel to its recruits in the way typical of all cultsโ€”alternating punishment and leniency or even love-bombing. Itโ€™s dishonest. Itโ€™s psychologically broken from reality. Itโ€™s also a Machiavellian game, which means it has no interest in moral or ethical behavior but only in power. Thus, this rival game to the game of civilization is the game of power. The parasitic gameโ€”that is, the power gameโ€”is based on a fundamental failure to understand the legitimacy of the civilizational game or the approximately legitimate hierarchy it produces. This is a result of its narcissism, mostly. The game cannot be legitimate because the psychopath isnโ€™t on top of it, where he sees himself constantly as a projection from his frail ego. It sees power in the real hierarchy, though, which it can perceive and understand, and for which it blames most of its troubles. What this means is that the (Woke) power game develops a critical theory of the existing legitimate civilization game. Thatโ€™s why Woke means โ€œusing critical theory (and activism).โ€ A critical theory exists not to articulate a visionโ€”at least not beyond a Utopia after the cult power game holds power to enforce its power game long enoughโ€”but to โ€œcriticize those aspects of the existing society we wish to change,โ€ as Max Horkheimer, creator of the Critical Theory, put it. The critical theory of the power game exists to recruit by delegitimizing the civilization game in the minds of some of its players, usually ones who arenโ€™t succeeding as well. It picks at โ€œcontradictions,โ€ failures, and imperfections while casting the whole civilization game as corrupt and unjust. It offers itself as the only alternative to civilization game while pulling at the threads of the civilization game that allow people to believe in it. It all proceeds from the Woke failure to understand the legitimacy of the hierarchy of the civilization game as it proceeds from its set of rules. Misunderstanding legitimacy leads it to conclude that all hierarchies are actually based in power, and all power is fundamentally arbitrary. That is, they do not believe all power is illegitimate. They believe power is the only legitimate thing in any hierarchy, but they also believe that power is located in persons like themselves through their narcissism and projection. Think of Voldemort as an icon of this mode of thinking: โ€œthere is no good or evil, only power and those too weak to seek it.โ€ Of course, that quintessential Dark Tetrad perspective is what ensures the psychopathological power game will be rigged to make sure the psychopaths are attracted to it and rise to its top. This belief is what we call Woke. The Woke game is the power game, and it is a parasitic competitor to the civilization game. There is no overlap between these two games. To adopt the power game is to abandon the civilization game entirely and, in fact, to become its enemy. But James, you might ask, isnโ€™t there power in civilization? Yes, there is, and necessarily, but it isnโ€™t what defines the civilization game. Itโ€™s a byproduct of the game, not the game itself. The civilization game is fundamentally the building out of an organic and dynamic hierarchy based on a set of rules, or what some people call โ€œmuh principles,โ€ that will succeed or fail for that civilization in direct proportion to three things. 1) How aligned with the truth are the rules of the civilization game? 2) How aligned with justice are the rules of the civilization game? 3) How willing are the participants of the civilization game to defend their principles and their game, including against socio-parasitical perversion? The more aligned with truth and justice a civilization game is, the more successful it will be, and the more legitimate its hierarchy. The power that results as a byproduct is extremely legitimate in a highly aligned civilization where people havenโ€™t forgotten their charge to defend the game itself, which is what we call responsibility. A civilization game strongly aligned with truth and justice filled with a preponderance of responsible people will produce a thriving, prosperous society. It only works this way every time. Not everyone is responsible, though. Some are also incompetent because of various pathologies (not talking about for other reasons). Those pathological players may, under certain circumstances, create a parasitic side game with themselves on top through a variety of strategies that mimic the values and principles of the real game while distorting them into power plays because their game is power, as discussed above. They will recruit into that game primarily from those who are resentful of the real game for any variety of reasons, and getting recruited into the power game from the civilization game is called โ€œgoing Woke.โ€

Deadlock is starting to develop one of the most hostile communities toward newcomers, and that honestly worries me a lot. The funny clip I posted of myself dying to a Maroon 5โ€™s Animals blasting Silver when I first started playing ended up going viral on Deadlock Intelโ€™s YouTube and Twitter. Instead of focusing on the joke mod or the Hatsune Miku Bebop skin, people hyper focused on my non existent movement. And they werenโ€™t even giving real advice. They were just being mean about it. Telling me to stick to bot matches to not ruin my friends games and ect. If this keeps up when the game releases, Deadlock is quickly going to earn a reputation similar to League of Legends or Dead by Daylight when it comes to community hostility. I really do not want that, because I genuinely love this game and everything Valve is building. The characters, the gameplay, the lore, it is all incredible. I want people to see Deadlock for that, not for how awful some players can be. The game is still in alpha, and it is very telling that this kind of behavior is already showing up before release. I am fine with trash talk in game. That is part of gaming culture. A lot of games have tried to overly sanitize in game interactions to an almost Orwellian degree with heavy AI moderation. That kind of big brother approach is not really really bad. But there is a big difference between competitive trash talk in a match and people going out of their way to be awful to others outside the game, especially toward new players. That kind of behavior does real damage to a growing community. Deadlock is a Valve game. It is going to live forever. What I want is for it to be known for its depth, creativity, and incredible design, not for eating new players alive before they even get a real chance to enjoy it and learn. This game is fantastic and already a masterpiece to me. I'm new I can get better. I will get better. #deadlock

Guess it's that time of year again... The post to Start the rest of the "Star Citizen has raised 900 million and is still in alpha" posts ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ.. monkey see monkey do... Followed by people looking for the highest priced ships to post... Conveniently leaving out the fact you can spend 30$ one time and spend anothet time after that because you can buy almost all ships in game currently with in game money. The game finished Kickstarter the end of 2012 with sky high promises, the game of a man who is a perfectionist and who has a massive vision. Has Star Citizen been managed well over the years? No, we got a hangar module in August of 2013 to let us walk around and view our ships. 2 years later The first iteration of the Persistent universe went live in August 2015 for the first time, here are the major milestones, The initial version of the Star Citizen Persistent Universe (PU) was first made available to backers as part of the Alpha 2.0 release in December 2015. This version was a huge deal, it's the release that combined several gameplay elements and introduced a persistent, multiplayer environment. The PU has been in an alpha, or early access, state ever since and continues to receive Monthly updates and new features with major milestone patches.. Below is a chronological list if all major patches . There have been a ton of "smaller ones" but each has brought new tech, features and improvements as well as bugs Alpha 2.0 (December 2015): The initial release, which allowed players to spawn at Port Olisar and introduced an early version of the persistent, multiplayer universe around the planet Crusader and its moons. Alpha 3.0 (December 2017): This update was considered a major core technology milestone, introducing features like planetary procedural technology, truly SEAMLESS atmospheric entry, cargo trading, and the addition of the Hurston system. Alpha 3.18 (March 2023) Implemented the Persistent Entity Streaming (PES) technology, a significant technical step that allows the game to track every item and ship across all servers, greatly enhancing the level of world persistence. Alpha 4.0 (Q4 2024) Introduced the second full star system, Pyro, which required the implementation of static server meshing technology to seamlessly link different servers. Alpha 4.0 and subsequent. Patches have brought tons of features, missions, activities, sandbox missions during it's. Course.. Today 2026 - Patch 4.4 is in development, currently being tested by us (the backers) which brings with it our 3rd Star Citizen, Nyx and Vanduul. NPCs (hostile aliens) once the NYX planets (specifically NYX 1)are patched in, that will bring with it the Genesis technology, the name is very bit a reference to the same technology from Star trek . We call it Planet Tech V5 which brings planetary visuals, interaction, biomes, textures, lighting, atmospherics an order of magnitude higher then what it already is. while Star Citizen is far from perfect and has had its massive share of growing pains and missteps.. Chris Roberts vision still lives and is in a better state then it's ever been for most of us. It's only getting better, this isn't meant to persuade anyone to play it's just mean to give you some info for those that care or are curious. Before you slander a game, atleast have enough respect to the developers who really bust thier ass day in and at out to bring this game to life.. To fix things, design weapons, ships, space etc. Video below was cut and put together from the Official to clip everything together and it shows NYX 1 Running the Genesis technology KungLi . Like the matrix no one can be told what Star Citizen is.. They need to see it for themselves to understand, The Visuals.. Flying from Space, through the atmosphere then landing anywhere you want, whenever you want, seeing the Star rise over the horizon.. #StarCitizen is beautiful IAE 2955 Event Comming up Nov 10th to Dec 5th, play and fly for free and try it

Pragmata Review | No spoilers That is it for me. I played more than 30 hours of Pragmata and I am really happy that not only we finally got this game after so many delays and in a time where cancellations are common, but also that it turned out to be a very solid and enjoyable experience. Visually it is beautiful, and gameplay wise it works well for the length it has. It is not a long game, which I personally prefer, and I hope we see more titles like this instead of games trying to be longer just for the sake of it. I would not call it short like some people did, but I think it is exactly as long as it needs to be. Story wise, it is my favorite of the year so far. Seeing this kind of father and daughter dynamic again made me want to play more games with similar themes. I did almost everything in the game and I absolutely recommend it. If you are unsure about the length, maybe wait for a sale, but quality wise it deserves to be up there. I am not someone who rushes, so it took me longer because I admire the environments, take screenshots, record videos, and try to find collectibles without guides. For someone who just plays straight through, I think it would take around 12 to 15 hours, maybe a bit more or less. This is the kind of experience I want to see more often in the gaming space. I liked the combat and I think the enemy variety is fine for the length. If the game was longer without adding new enemy types, it would probably feel repetitive, but for what it is, it works. My biggest concern before playing was the combination of Hughโ€™s shooting and Dianaโ€™s hacking. If it was too complicated, it would be annoying, and if it was too simple, it would be boring. Thankfully, it ended up being exactly right. My only real complaint is that you need to return to the base to restock items, and when you die, the game sends you back there instead of placing you right before the area or at the last travel point you unlocked. It is not a huge issue, but it breaks the flow a bit. Diana is very cute and does her part extremely well, and Hugh is a character that is hard not to like. They both nail the dad simulator vibe. The voice acting is great, especially for Diana. Capcom delivered a unique and impressive new IP, which is always welcome in an industry where big publishers mostly rely on established franchises instead of taking risks. Whether we get more entries in the future is up to them, but it is also up to us to support games like this if we want more of them. On PC the game runs very well. The only thing that felt a bit underwhelming to me is the ray tracing when you use it on its own without path tracing. In some areas it does not add much, similar to what I noticed in Resident Evil Requiem. It makes me think it is either something with the RE Engine or simply that Capcom does not push ray tracing that far and focuses more on path tracing instead. Path tracing looks incredible, but of course it comes with a heavy performance cost. Something that impressed me throughout the entire playthrough is how consistent the game feels from start to finish. There is no point where it suddenly drops in quality or feels rushed. Every area has its own atmosphere, the pacing stays steady, and the game never tries to drag itself out longer than needed. It is rare to play something that stays this steady all the way through, and that alone made the whole experience even more enjoyable for me. I hope we get a DLC or a sequel one day, but even if this stays a one off, I am happy with what we got. Rating: 9/10

Elon Musk just gave one of the most pro-humanity addresses youโ€™ll ever hear โ€” right in front of the Davos elites. It was inspiring. โ€œWe need to do everything we can to ensure that the light of consciousness is not extinguished.โ€ Elon Musk said the mission of all his companies comes back to preserving and expanding human consciousness. MUSK: โ€œthe overall goal of my companies is to maximize the future of civilization.โ€ โ€œLike basically maximize the probability that civilization has a great future, and, to expand consciousness beyond Earth.โ€ โ€œSo if you take SpaceX, for example, SpaceX is about advancing rocket technology to the point where we can extend life and consciousness beyond Earth, to the moon, to Mars, eventually to other star systems.โ€ โ€œI think we should always view consciousness, life as we know it, as as precarious and delicate. Because to the best of our knowledge, we we donโ€™t know of life anywhere else.โ€ โ€œYou know, Iโ€™m often asked, are there aliens among us?โ€ โ€œAnd I will say that I am one, butโ€ฆthey donโ€™t believe me.โ€ โ€œI think if anyone would know if there are aliens among us, it would be me. And we have 9000 satellites up there, and not once have we had to maneuver around an alien spaceship.โ€ โ€œBottom line is, I think we need to assume that life and consciousness is extremely rare. And it might only be us.โ€ โ€œAnd if thatโ€™s the case, then we need to do everything possible to ensure that the light of consciousness is not extinguished because weโ€™re effectively, or the way I view it is, the image in my mind is of a tiny candle in a vast darkness, tiny candle of consciousness that could easily go out.โ€ โ€œAnd thatโ€™s why itโ€™s important to make life multi-planetary, such that if there is a natural disaster or a manmade disaster on earth, that consciousness continues.โ€

Garry Kasparov unleashes the truth: putinโ€™s war is pure survival, not strategy. Garry Kasparov nails it: putin isn't some rational leader. He's a dictator obsessed with staying in power for 25 years and counting. This war? It's his life support, infecting every part of Russia. Forget ideology, he is a one-man mafia boss, desperate to project strength. He won't stop until he declares 'victory,' which he can't get, so he'll just keep expanding the war. He literally couldn't care less about how many Russians die as long as he controls Moscow and St. Petersburg. Trump even offered him an 'out' twice, and putin rejected it because it would make him look weak - and weakness means the whole flock turns on him. He's even eyeing a test of NATO's Article 5 and hoping his far-right buddies take over Europe. The West's slow reaction and constant reliance on America has just emboldened him. Kasparov is right, the only thing that changes Russia is a Ukrainian victory, and fast. Garry Kasparov: I hate starting to talk with criticism but this time I have to point out that your question basically repeated the same mistake in evaluation because you tried to analyze putinโ€™s actions from the position of the responsible national leader. Everything you said is absolutely correct. vladimir's putinโ€™s rule is devastating for Russia and I believe it will end to the collapse of the Russian Empire which is long overdue. But vladimir putinโ€™s calculations are not based on this rational thinking. His view is very different. He is in power for 25 years and counting. Thatโ€™s all that matters for him. Heโ€™s a dictator and he works for one thing: only survival. Heโ€™s still there. And the war has become the only way to keep him in power. War now is in every layer of Russian society, from the very top of the government to industries all the way down to kindergartens. Itโ€™s infected by the war virus and that's how putin stays in power. Interviewer: So that makes him different from let's say Soviet leaders or or even some of the tsarโ€™s right? Again you should look at Soviet leaders based on the political momentum, just obviously Soviet leaders that we remember, you and me, so like Brezhnev, they had different calculations. But also don't forget the Soviet leaders after Stalin. They were ruling the country that had strong ideology and communist party. I'm not here to advocate for the communist party or for any kind of ideology but there's a fundamental difference between the party rule which is a mafia structure and the one man dictatorship. putin shifted Russia to a one man dictatorship where everything depends on an individual who is on the top of power, who becomes at certain time a spine of the whole system. And this system depends on his survival, demonstrating his strengths is to be a macho, to be an alpha, surrounded by other mafia bosses. And that's why, you know, his current position today is, you may call it desperate, but I don't think he he sees it the same way. He will continue the war as long as he has the resources. And this is something that the free world is just getting to understand. That was my main criticism to the west. vladimir putin, for a long time was at open war, those were hybrid at the time with the free world. And the free world, and especially Europe, was not willing to hear the messages, to see the messages and to respond accordingly. 1/2

There is an attempt to rebrand Final Fantasy XVI like it's some misunderstood masterpiece. It's not. Here's why: 1) Its combat is insulting to OG FF fans: -It sends the message: "You don't matter anymore. We want a different audience. We still want your money though, so we called it Final Fantasy" 2) Its story is a bloated mess: -You could cut the entire the Desert segment, and nothing of value would be lost -There is a Main Quest where Clive goes to the shops to buy garlic. I am not making this up -It plays like an MMO, full of low-stakes quests to pad out Subscription Time. This makes no sense, because you can only buy the game once 3) It wastes its best character 1/3rd into the story: -No one cares that this was for "Clive's development". All it did was the develop the story into a more boring one -To add insult to injury, the game then slaps you with "5 Years Later..." 4) Its idea of "mature writing" is to drop the F bomb every 30 seconds: -Swearing is fine when a script is well-written. But FF16 tries too hard to prove that Final Fantasy can be "badass". As a result, it reads like teen fan fiction It's not a "misunderstood masterpiece" - it's just not that good. It has some strong spectacle (Titan & Bahamut boss fights), but these moments are drowned in an ocean of boring scenes. There's a reason it only sold 22,000 copies on Xbox in its first week. There's a reason it has not 1, but 2 DLCs - and nobody knows or cares At the end of the day, the only crowd it appeals to are the people who will buy literally anything with the "Final Fantasy" name on it It will not stand the test of time. It already hasn't #FF16 #FinalFantasy #FFXVI

To be serious for a moment since so many people are getting bent out of shape I'm going to make a rare serious post. Firstly. Your game, your efforts, your call do what you think is best. None of this is or was me wanting to throw shade at Yacht Club. They are cool and have been cool to us. Second. I despise the repackaging of cheats as 'accessibility'. They are cheats, tweaks or modifiers with the intention of making things easier for the one playing. I realize and accept that I grew up in an entirely different era of gaming. It was not unusual then to not be able to beat a game. I remember vividly asking the 'big kid' to beat something in Mario 64 because I was not good enough. I watched him beat it and was marveled. The thought never crossed my mind that it was not fair or that I should have been able to do it. Instead the thought was "wow one day I COULD do that!" Being unable to overcome a challenge can inspire as easily as it can decimate the spirit. It is going to vary wildly from person to person. However if one is coddled and unable to build that inner spiritual pillar to stand against adversity and learn to overcome it they will be decimated when life hits them with a difficulty they can't handle. Life does not care. There are no 'accessibility options' in life. Third. We have done stuff like this before. We use a system we call blessings and curses. Blessings and curses are modifiers you activate before you start a play through of the game. These are not things you can toggle on as and when you desire. You earn special rewards for completing things with different amounts on. Curses + points and Blessings - points. It is very simple. An additional layer that I think is important is that these are unlocked and earned. That lets you do more fun silly things with them and let people get goofy on replays. The first play through of a game should be relatively 'clean' in my opinion. Fourth. Rewards and achievements in a game are part of the point. If everyone could log into OSRS and just get an inferno cape or a Zuk helm it would mean nothing. It is part of the motivation to push press and achieve. I will always be staunchly against the idea of achievements and victory being a forgone conclusion because there is no better way to make memories than to overcome something that was beating you down. Earning a place in an upper percentile of a game feels good and exciting. Game developers come from all sorts of different perspectives and stories. We can have our own opinions and hills to die on. These are merely some of mine.

Why Exchanges Banned This Bot: The 142,000% Return Liquidation Strategy Revealed i finally posted the strategy that got me banned and now the exchanges are probably sweating because i am handing you the keys to the liquidation engine. most people think trading is about charts but the real alpha is hidden in the moments when other traders lose everything. if you can understand why market makers hunt these positions you will never look at a candlestick the same way again. it took years of losing money to liquidations and over trading to realize that hand trading is a losing game for almost everyone on the planet. code is the great equalizer because it removes the emotion that usually causes you to hold a losing position until your account hits zero. i spent hundreds of thousands on developers in the past thinking i could not code myself until i realized i just needed to iterate to success. trading by hand is just driving a horse while everyone else is in a ferrari and the fees alone will chop you up before you even realize you were wrong. i watched a guy with a six million dollar short position sitting just two percent away from total liquidation while i was building this. seeing those numbers on the screen gives me ideas that i can automate into a bot so i dont have to spend my life staring at a monitor. the process i follow is called the rbi system which stands for research backtest and implement. most traders skip the first two steps and go straight to implementation which is why they get smoked on their very first bot. research starts with a backlog of ideas from books or papers or even just watching how the market reacts to big moves. once you have that idea you have to see if it worked in the past using a backtest because if it did not work then it certainly won't work in the future. i have been collecting liquidation data for eighteen months because that data is the lifeblood of a winning system. there is a hidden loop in the market where market makers try to liquidate as many people as possible to find liquidity. i wanted to build a strategy that either trades with that momentum or bets on the bounce right after the liquidation happens. the first strategy i tested was a pure liquidation momentum play that looks for a threshold of nine hundred seventy five thousand dollars in liquidations. when longs get liquidated it shorts the market to continue the down move and it tries to take a one percent profit. this strategy showed a return of over four hundred percent in the backtest while the buy and hold was only thirty three percent. it sounds amazing but you have to be careful with optimized results because you can search with math until you find anything. i decided to flip the logic on its head and create an inverse liquidation strategy that acts as a contrarian. instead of following the move it waits for the longs to get liquidated and then buys the dip after a small price spread. this is where i stumbled onto something that felt like a mistake but turned out to be pure alpha. i accidentally typed in a threshold of three hundred thousand dollars instead of three million and the results were unbelievable. the backtest return jumped to over one hundred forty thousand percent because the bot was catching every single micro bounce in the market. even when i doubled the commission fees to account for the high trade volume the strategy still stayed incredibly profitable. most people would have missed this because they are too busy trying to be right instead of just looking at what the data says. i use tools like claude and cursor to build these bots in minutes when it used to take me an entire week to write the code. if you are not using ai to automate your ideas you are essentially choosing to work ten times harder for less money. i built three separate bots during this session including a momentum bot and two different versions of the inverse spread bot. running these together creates a sort of statistical arbitrage where you can hedge your positions across different market conditions. one bot wins when the market cascades and the other wins when it fakes out and reverses. you have to start with tiny ten dollar sizes because a backtest is never a hundred percent guarantee of what will happen today. i always run my p and l close logic first to make sure the bot exits the position if the stop loss or take profit is hit. it is vital to check your position every fifteen seconds and make sure you are not double ordering or getting stuck in a trade. the goal is to have fully automated systems trading for you so you can actually live your life while the bots do the work. i push all of this code to my private github because i believe that wall street will never show you how this actually works. you have to be a doer and not a dabbler if you want to actually make it in this industry. the reason i show everything live on youtube is to prove that anyone can learn to do this if they are willing to iterate. you dont need to be a math genius you just need to follow the rbi system and stay disciplined with your risk. every liquidation you see on the chart is a signal and if you know how to read them you are no longer the one being hunted. i am currently running the third version of the bot to see how it handles the live market volatility. it is a beautiful thing to see a system enter and exit a trade perfectly without you having to click a single button. the fees are the silent killer of hand traders but a bot can be programmed to use limit orders and stay efficient. if you learn to code you can build anything for the rest of your life regardless of where you are in the world. stop trying to guess which way the candle will go and start building systems that can handle both directions. i am going to keep testing these three strategies against each other to find the ultimate ensemble for this current market. once you find a winning edge you just have to scale it up slowly and keep refining the parameters. the exchanges might not like that i am sharing this but code is the great equalizer and it is time for you to use it. i will be back tomorrow to show the results and keep building more systems until everything is fully automated

Now that I'm 80 hours in and have completed Rinacita, I want to give my thoughts on Wuthering Waves as a whole, both from the perspective of a new player and as someone who hates the gacha monetization model. When I first started I was told that 1.0 (The first arc/region of the game) was mid. I disagree with that sentiment. While the first 7 or so hours were bogged down a bit by lore terms and exposition that often left me confused, around Yinlin's companion quest is when I started getting invested and upon reaching Mt. Firmament (10-15 hours?) I was locked in. What I WILL say, is that the first arc of the game is mid in COMPARISON to what the game offers and becomes later on in every single regard, writing, dialogue, gameplay, music, map/world design, everything. Rinacita is truly a game changer and you can see the game's budget increase in real time with higher quality animations and cutscenes, as well as the map basically being an entire game on top. Every single companion quest without fail has ranged from solid to great, even making me tear up on a few occasions (Encore lol) and making me care about characters I never thought I would. They're truly a highlight and the writing is what makes this game go from just playing with attractive characters to playing with characters you actually care about. The sheer amount of content this game offers is absurd with both varying forms of short/long form content. It's hard for the game to feel repetitive when it gives you a new character to play as or constantly introduces new mechanics. (puzzles, traversal, combat challenges, bosses, etc) Even 80 hours in there's constantly new mechanics being introduced to me. The combat and team building is great, simple but with a level of depth that allows for some player expression (especially newer characters) and the various Forte's and movesets of the characters are both satisfying and incredibly flashy. The audio design specifically on some attacks is very punchy like Chisa's ult. The game is also just, gorgeous. The art design for everything in Wuwa is stunning, the map sizes are huge with varying biomes and the heights you can fly can be jaw dropping at times. Almost every location is screenshot worthy and the music does a lot of heavy lifting to, especially once you get to Rinacita. Wuwa just might also be the most F2P friendly Gacha that exists and while I stand by the idea that every game (including this one) would be better without gacha systems I have to give credit where it's due. It is INCREDIBLY generous with summoning currency (asterite) and I'd even wager to say, due to the store prices being absurd (If I remember correctly it's about $25 for 1 multi-summon) unless you're very well off it's a horrible decision to spend money for summons in this game when you could easily grind that in 2-3 hours of gameplay. Not to mention the pity system being very favorable and lenient. Even if you find yourself playing with mostly base characters for 40 hours (like I did because I didn't know you got more asterite from exploring than doing quests) the game is constantly giving you new characters to temporarily play as in quests to stop combat from getting too repetitive. Once again the characters are a massive highlight, in design, gameplay and writing, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite worlds where every arc introduces new favorites for me. I find myself enjoying where Rover is being taken as a character and that she's starting to speak more and more, slowly seeming to become less of a self-insert even if she'll always be that to an extent. I'm not going to lie to you and say the story is some unique masterpiece that avoids all tropes. It's not, you've likely seen similar stories told, but it executes everything at a high level and accomplishes what it's trying to do. The biggest flaws are the file size and the prices of the in-game store, as well as it's nature as a gacha game. Even if it may be the most generous one. The actual optimization of the game I find is solid, on PC with a 4060 I run on almost max settings and get 70+fps even with how massive the world is. The starting few hours can also be slow and exposition heavy with lore-terms you don't understand. Leaving you confused and disconnected for awhile, even later on in Rinacita the dialogue can stretch on for too long sometimes which can be a pace killer, but it doesn't ruin the quality of the stories it's trying to tell. From what people say I haven't even gotten to the best part of the game and I'm very excited! If I were to give a current rating, it would be a 8/10 and as long as you don't spend money on summons, I would recommend at least giving it a try.

This is what will matter 1000 years from now. Not your politics. Not your stupid tantrums about who platformed who on some website. Not your incomprehensible desire to send NASA's entire budget to the third world. This guy reignited the Space Age. He spent his own money, hired a bunch of dudes, and reignited the Space Age. And together, they underbid and outdid NASA and its pet dinosaur corporations on every conceivable level. This is history happening before you. If you are a puddlefish, if you think this is a wasteful showpiece or science project, then you don't understand physics, economics, astronomy, or in fact the basic layout of the universe you live in. We live in a tiny puddle at the bottom of a well. Out there is an entire universe, full not only of stuff to explore, but full of stuff to build things out of. Big things. Wonderful things. Things that are going to make all of the cool stuff you have today, all of human civilization to date look like early Assyrians writing stuff down on wet clay with a reed. Infinite resources. Infinite energy. Infinite space. Instead of fighting over little patches of land, we will have an infinite 3d volume. Enclose it in steel, pump it full of air, spin it, and it's a habitat. Instead of scratching tiny scraps of metal out of the crust of one planet, we will break down entire asteroids and smelt them. Instead of drilling for hydrocarbons and turning water wheels, we will harness entire suns, split the atom, and eventually draw our fuel from the substance that makes up 99% of the entire universe. None of your local, temporal Earth politics matter compared to this. This is more important than pride parades and abortions, more important than tribal conflicts in eastern Europe and southwest Asia, more important than tensions with Russia and China. More important, in the long run, than the United States of America. America's most important function, its one most vital purpose, is to serve as an incubator for this. Because this changes everything. All of our arguments about conditions on this planet become obsolete, because the whole planet becomes just one suburban neighborhood. All of our wars over resources and territory become obsolete, because no one has time to brawl when we're all sitting on top of a dragon horde with sacks and shovels. Everyone who was alive at the time remembers where they were when Kennedy died in Dallas. When the towers fell. When the Eagle landed. When the Wall came down. But this... this is the real moment, one of the first of many. They are what every child will know about a thousand years from now, even if they have four arms and are genetically engineered for zero-g, or are sentient blocks of code running on a sphere of computronium enclosing an entire star. You may not live to see that, depending on what we do or don't invent, and when. But it will happen, and you will live to see wonderful things. If the puddlefish don't get in the way. Don't be a puddlefish.

๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿšจ Full transcription of Jorge Jesus' statements when asked about Cristiano Ronaldo in today's press conference ahead of their match against Denmark tomorrow... ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ—ฃ Jorge Jesus: โ€œBefore answering the question, I want to make an interruption. For me, the most important thing, the most important thing, is the objective of what we have come here to do against Denmark. It is about respecting the opponent. We are going to play against a great opponent, with the ambition of continuing to win the Nations League. I donโ€™t have one player, I have 23 players, and you can ask whatever questions you want about any player. But Iโ€™ll answer your question. As for Ronaldo, one question is not enough, three is too many. I will only answer two questions about Ronaldo, and then I wonโ€™t answer any more, because Ronaldo is not the main reason I am here. The main reason I am here is Denmark, and the fact that I am the national team coach. Now, to answer your question specifically. I have it memorised, but can you repeat it?โ€ Journalist: โ€œWhether coach Jorge Jesus agreed with Ronaldo on his playing time, and whether he refused to train yesterday with the national team.โ€ ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ—ฃ Jorge Jesus: โ€œWell, it is true that I agreed something with him. But I didnโ€™t only agree it with him. We also created a plan, as I did with Bruno Fernandes. I told Cris that he would not play in the game against Norway or the game against Denmark. He would not play because I believed that was the right thing to do. I worked with Cris for a year. I didnโ€™t arrive at the national team three months ago and meet Cris. I worked with Cris for a year. I know his physical condition completely. I know because I already did this with him in Saudi Arabia. When there were games every three days, Cris rarely played. Furthermore, Cris never trains on the first day or the second day after a game. Never. He spent a year with me and never did. So, I agreed this with him. Before the game, I told him, and when we had our first press conference in Portugal, he also spoke about this. He said that whatever the coach wanted, whether he was asked to play or sit on the bench, he would sit on the bench. So, he never refused anything, and that is exactly what happened. But I am a coach who does not go to the bench thinking, โ€˜In 60 minutes Iโ€™m going to have Carlos Daniel,โ€™ or, โ€˜In 70 minutes Iโ€™m going to have...โ€™ That is not how I work on the bench. The game tells me what I am going to do. I thought that perhaps I had agreed with him that he would not play the first two games. But perhaps I would need him in the final minutes. However, the game dictated other things. It started telling me other things, and I did not put him on the pitch. That is the real point. And since I am talking about Cris, let me tell you something. I worked with Cris for a year. It seems as though there is some kind of issue between me and him. There is no issue at all. I have had issues with many players, but donโ€™t turn this into an issue that does not exist. This was a coaching decision. I had a plan. If you want, Iโ€™ll also tell you about Bruno. Bruno, in the game against Norway, I told him... Bruno came after the game against... It was exactly the same. What does this tell you? It tells you something about the question I was asked earlier about a player having status, doesnโ€™t it? Status is one thing. The rules are the same for everyone. Now, status allows the coach, or at least it does in my case, because of the playersโ€™ careers and what they have achieved, to be a little more careful about certain decisions before the game takes place. After the game takes place, it is the same. The coach has to make the decision. That is how I think, and I always make decisions based on one objective, which is what is best for the team, while always respecting the players..."

My Spoilerโ€‘Free Review of Star Wars Outlaws I spent around 30 hours with Star Wars Outlaws, completed the main story, and played a good amount of side content. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my time with it, even though the game clearly has both high points and noticeable shortcomings. The visuals are one of the strongest aspects of the game. Cities, lighting, character models, and ray tracing all look impressive, and the game genuinely feels like a true currentโ€‘gen release. I played on PC with an RTX 5080 and an AMD 9800X3D, and most locations ran smoothly. A few areas were demanding enough that I had to lower some settings to keep the framerate consistent, but the overall optimization felt solid. The planets feel alive thanks to the populated hubs and the amount of environmental detail. You can tell the developers put real effort into making each world feel lived in. The seamless transitions between planets add a lot to the immersion. The worlds look great, even if they arenโ€™t packed with activities, and the planetary travel works well for a storyโ€‘driven openโ€‘world game. Even though I have not watched the Star Wars movies, the game still delivered the Star Wars atmosphere convincingly. One downside for me was the absence of lightsabers, which felt like a missed opportunity. Nix, your companion, is genuinely helpful and makes stealth much more manageable. Iโ€™m not a major fan of stealth games, and that was one of the reasons I didnโ€™t buy Outlaws at launch when I saw in reviews that the game had a strong focus on stealth. On normal difficulty, the game is flexible enough to let you mix your approach, but you still need to take a few enemies out quietly first if you donโ€™t want to make things harder for yourself. The stealth system itself is simple, maybe too simple for a game that relies on it as much as this one does. I am judging this based on normal difficulty, so harder modes might offer a different experience. Gunplay is satisfying, even if it is not particularly unique. The story left me with mixed feelings. Most characters were not very memorable, and while the mission structure is fine and the pacing works well enough, it never becomes anything special. That said, I enjoyed the balance between stealth, combat, and exploration, and traveling around the planets with the speeder was genuinely fun. The space missions and dogfights were a welcome change of pace. I just wish there had been more mission variety and that Ubisoft had taken a few more creative risks. Combat overall is enjoyable, although the limited weapon variety holds it back and makes encounters feel repetitive over time. One thing I did appreciate was the syndicate system. It isnโ€™t very deep, but it adds some personality to the world and makes the different syndicates feel more distinct. Itโ€™s simple, but it fits the game well. Lockpicking and hacking were surprisingly enjoyable. They were challenging enough to feel engaging without becoming frustrating or time consuming. Considering how often you encounter these mechanics, Ubisoft did a good job keeping them fun instead of turning them into chores. The game is in a good technical state on PC. I cannot speak for the console versions, but I only encountered one minor visual bug during my entire playthrough. The only thing that felt off at times was Kayโ€™s facial animations in certain scenes, which could use more polish. Overall, I had a very good time with Star Wars Outlaws. It is not a masterpiece, but it is an enjoyable experience despite its flaws. I can comfortably recommend picking it up on sale or playing it through a subscription. I also hope we eventually get a sequel or another Star Wars project from Ubisoft, because Outlaws offers a good base to work from, and a sequel could expand on it nicely.
