If in 2026 he says he now wants to join politics, that too is understandable. The problem is that he did not say that. He claimed he has been in politics since 2001. That is not a change of opinion, that is a direct contradiction. So the question here is, did the Sheikh lie in 2006 or is he lying now in 2026? The issue is that if the Iranians come to the conclusion that their regime is on the verge of collapse, there is one thing that might save them. And that is an attack on Israel. Because we saw during the war what is called “rally around the flag.” Even those who were in the opposition rallied around the flag when their country was attacked. It is not only the Islamic Republic that is under attack, but also the Islamic Republic of Iran. That is essentially the issue, and that is what Netanyahu, in my opinion, is trying to stop with the threat he issued after the security discussion.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa now needs to rest. If he had people who genuinely cared about him, they would not let him carry on like this. It is no longer just an embarrassment to him, but to Zimbabwe as a nation. He is clearly unwell due to old age. To imagine that some people wanted him to carry on until 2030, when he is like this five years before then, is clearly cruel and opportunistic. I have always said here that the president is 86 years old, not 82. He was born in 1938—it is clearly self-evident. He did not know that the national team plays home games in other countries. He did not know that there is no longer a passenger train service between Harare and Bulawayo. It is sad to watch.

He says just about everything that someone wants to say on a day like that, but usually we do not. He also brings up an interesting debate.. The law says he must present his ID and technically he is presenting it. Does that mean he needed to hand it to the officer or was he legal in what he did?
