There is no truck here. They will tell you to keep the item and issue a refund. You don’t get to decide what gets returned and what doesn’t. They tell you. Been like this for years

The catch is the small business that use Amazon or Walmart for hat will suffer when people inevitably try to scam. If you understand Amazon as a business, most things are from independent sellers and not Amazon directly

I hope the catch is that the people who are blatantly abusing it, just get permanently banned from shopping on amazon. And that’s it, the end, lifetime ban.

As a Prime member, they pretty much do this already. For small items, anyway.

Consider for a moment that the presenter knows that he is on camera so he’s trying as hard as he can to perfect his diction and he can still barely string a sentence together.

I had a buddy who got a free mini fridge this way. Paid $130. Wasn’t quite what he wanted - Amazon told him to just keep it. Think this is free? It’s not…they embed it in your costs.

Amazon’s been doing this already for several months. I’ve gotten 2 no-return refunds so far, surprising but it’s really only on cheap stuff. Ain’t gonna work on a TV etc
