Oh Dawko did NOT like Decay LMAOOO

I would like to apologise for calling the game bad, it was at the end of a long stream and people in the chat kept asking me to check it out constantly, I was a little moody when I died at the end bc id have to go through it all again. I will check out the other chapters in future streams! 🙏🙏

I think the main draw for Piggy has always been the story and characters. The gameplay has always been pretty basic and even sometimes repetitive. The driving force for people each week was to see what happened next in the story. If you don't have that connection to the story/characters, then the game just becomes a mildly scary Roblox game with older game mechanics. It's an interesting problem that not many Roblox games have. You literally *had* to be there in 2020 to experience it week by week in order to have that connection. Kind of like a TV show where half the fun is speculating and guessing what's going to happen in the next episode. In terms of Decay, you need to have a pretty solid understanding of the Piggy lore and characters to even begin to understand what's going on.

I get why he didn't like it but I'm not sure what he means with the reviving thing because you CAN revive, and now that seed has been planted in peoples' minds that "oh piggy is just playtime farming" once again

He died to an infected and revived, then he died again to Brella at the end chase (you can only revive once)

ah, I see the thing is I feel like if you could just revive infinitely the same people would be saying it's just p2w that said, at least one checkpoint could do the game well

but my doors point still stands because that exact scenario can and does happen there too so it's interesting, unless he's called out doors for it too, idk I don't watch dawko

@Gabriel_Land1 right but the same thing still applies, it's a very time consuming thing and you can only revive once, so dawko theoretically should have the same complaint about doors

Fair enough, he isn't really a Piggy fan, but this is also a general criticism and it's that many new people can't really get into Piggy and see the story that brought this fandom to life. Piggy is more of a "you had to be there to know it" kind of game if you get what I mean

Honestly, can’t blame him. Decay has the problem of its very lackluster FPS Focus. It’s really a shame, since I feel it doesn’t do it justice. Although I can say it was fun and kinda good, I can’t blame him for seeing the plenty of flaws.

I think decay needs 2 main things that could be added in a future update 1. A checkpoint system - for games like this, you need one 2. A sprint button - again, you need one for a game like this that's pretty slow

Honestly I don't really blame him. He's never been a fan of Piggy and given that the chapter pretty much happens in the middle of the story, he would probably get confused either way without playing it properly

idk if its because he hasnt played piggy in 5 years or if he was never into piggy but i respect him and his opinions but he better be careful of the rest of the piggy community

I can agree with his critique that the revive option is not the best, it just makes the game more frustrating, I had the same criticism and got some hate for it, but I side with my opinion that there should've been checkpoints instead of redoing the entire game again

As a long time Piggy fan I agree. Both Decay and Delirium suffer from gameplay immensely. WWS took a risk by changing the gameplay and it didn't pay off. Playing both feels like a chore honestly.
