For all those mentioning issues with the film that’s all fine but to call this bad is crazy shit. I’ll show you a bad movie but this ain’t it.

Romulus was my favourite since the first two Alien movies 🤔

Romulus felt like the closest to Alien (like in the homage way) than any of the others. Alien is a horror movie. Aliens in an action movie. Alien 3 goes back to horror (but really nihilistic). I don't get the hate on Romulus. It was great.

Romulus was infuriatingly bad and just flat out lame, tried so hard to be cool, boring characters with no charisma, the only good one was the droid but not good enough to save this generic, horrible movie. Horrifically lame climax too, turned into Resident Evil.

Die hard Alien fan, Aliens will always be my favorite, didn’t care for 3 much, resurrection was garbage, AvP was meh, but despite some random bullshit, I enjoyed Romulus and thought it was a solid addition

No hate (there are plenty of good parts) but you know that edit leaves out the awful digital necromancy that ruins the rest of the movie

The first half of Romulus is fucking amazing. The second half devolves into "Hey, hey... Remember this?", which drags it down a lot. But that being said, it's still *miles* ahead of Covenant and the AVP movies.

Honestly, for me, I'd rank it number three of Alien movies. Above Alien 3.

Legit alien Romulus was terrible. The characters. The story. The offspring. Total garbage. Great xeno design, great atmosphere, but that's it

I liked this movie but there are huge issues that make it un rewatchable. The robot head looked terrible, genuinely awful and distracting. The corny one liner call backs were cringe and the visuals in the hallway acid scene were extremely clunky. Also super corny dialogue

I mean yeah it has its moments of pandering with fan service but the last 20 minutes are so fucking insane that it more than makes up for it. Definitely a top 3 Alien movie, wish we got Neil Blomkamp’s sequel to Aliens instead of Prometheus tho

What did this guy think of Resurrection? There are no bad Alien movies in my opinion but the worst one is not Romulus by a long shot.
