Oh hell nah. They caught oda’s ass😭

This was a Reddit post from like 8 years ago and it got fully debunked 😭 yall new gens need to catch up

Oda drew a lot of inspiration for his lore from The Mysterious Cities of Gold, Castle in the Sky, and Viking cartoon folk storys bible etc this is nothing new lol

Oda took crazy amount of inspiration from all around. Scriptures , mythology, show's watching he grew up. Things like these are nothing new. To the reference ur talking about is not only in that (ur childhood anime )but also many where

wtf luffy eating the mother flame makes way too much sense

where are the warlords? the islands? the yonko the straw-hats the world government what is this bullshit

Bruh the majority of these connections are a stretch others are very common tropes found in Mesoamerican mythology, Hinduism, and Christianity. In my opinion, Oda took inspiration from many different myths and folk stories, which is why they share some similairties

one piece slanderers have discovered inspiration and references to other media this is insane

“chosen orphan, wise mentor, dark villain with a personal link, loyal trio, and a mystical power guiding everything” By this stupid ass logic Harry Potter plagiarized Star Wars

Interesting, but unfortunately the One Piece is actually the All Blue, and Luffy's dream is to destroy the Red Line and combine all four seas into one, thus shocks the crew. The three ancient weapons are the ones that can make it happen, that's why it's forbidden to awaken it.

I grew up with both shows, i thought it was common knowledge especially skypea. I wouldn’t call it plagiarizing but oda also got inspired so much from disney in wci that's what is beautiful about one piece

When ODA does it, Its inspiration when other do it, Its a ripoff.

Tiktok mfs are always retarded

Anyone that thinks these similarities are purely coincidental is in denial

We get a video like this every 6 months by some larper who thinks he figured it out.

Brother you do know one piece is biblical along with the story your comparing. They’re both based off many religions and the book of Enoch. I don’t want to ruin who who luffy truly is. It may change a lot of people’s minds.

My G, this is common knowledge. Oda himself has stated Hayao Miyazaki as one of his biggest inspirations.

Makes you wonder if the stories we hear about in history are just ancient civilizations anime scripts.

Waiting for copyright t3rro4ists to get copyright strikes

mf this is the plot of foundation too lmao what. these are basic asimov principles

If that's true then my theory was right.

This just means both stories took the same inspiration from real world myth and religious stories

He ate oda’s from the back to the front so well with this theory that I came

I wonder when Oda took inspiration Nika is clearly retconned but One thing I can say is all these are inspired by the Bible.

ntm on oda but it does take a lil too much inspiration

Wowww watching as a kid and seeing it break down like this it’s make too much sense

@333VIL

No wonder he is a tiktoker

So Oda basically copied this old anime + THE BLUE HEARTS songs then came up with One Piece😭❤️‍🔥.

he might be onto smth

Wait till you find out Isayama plagiarized Muv Luv alternate

Cook that fraud odarse

I thought Fishman island was below the reverse mountain?
