This hurts specifically because madoka really barely knows homura, and like 7 out of 10 interactions they had were her being agressive to her friends or acting Nonchalant. She knows so much about madoka but Madoka was mostly clueless about Homura herself.

and then when she tried to open up earlier madokagot the fuck out of there well. she did shoot kyubey like a dozen times in front of her but…….

Thats Homura's tragedy, She tries SO hard to protect her and The others and She ends up pushing them away.
