Love this & believe whole heartedly that this is correct. I’ve said since the beginning of my career that if I didn’t have to give grades, I wouldn’t bc I’d rather focus on learning.
@sethfewell I couldn't agree more. I, as a Principal and teacher, have not given a quiz or test in years. My whole program is student based and performance assessed. The real risk in my class is in NOT taking risks. I teach History to Gr 8s.

Really interesting and well thought out reflection by this guy. My question to you is, wouldn’t this pseudo “no student left behind” create more middle school students unable to perform basic things like reading and simple math
No child left behind was a scam...we all know that and live with it everyday.
