Worked for years

Yes it did.

I’ll give you something to cry about

Exactly 😂

For me it was in a catholic school and it was with the old wooden pointers across the hands 😂

I think I remember this, and it worked! 😂😂😂

😂😂👊🏼

They had paddles at my school . They take you in the hallway for everyone to hear. It just echoed! Never heard of ADHD ....

With holes drilled in them. They had a whistling sound.

Literally how I was raised in the 70s 🤣

Yes 🙌🏼

I love how the third one just fell in line

@KEVINMAGA2024 I remember getting hit on the head with a hardcover Bible by a teacher.

@KEVINMAGA2024 Ouch! 🤕

@FarmGirlCarrie @KEVINMAGA2024 Yep we FAFOd and got just deserves.

The best medicine along with the flip-flop. 🩴

Or a wooden spoon…

@JGaroffalo Even a fly swatter! 🤣

@JGaroffalo 😂😂

@ArielBos1 @JGaroffalo I would love to try it on you guys! 😂🤣

@FarmGirlCarrie @JGaroffalo We have no fear!! 🤣🤣

@Robkn79 @FarmGirlCarrie We survived!😂

This is exactly how they should still be doing it. ADHD & ADD and whatever else “fake” disorders there is, is just another word for undisciplined children

I’m dizzy 😵💫 just listening to them 🤣🤣

😂😂

🤣🤣Still works. The meditation I recommend!

😂😂

@CNforUSA We learned too.

That’s what our parents gave permission for them to do, and if they did it, we got worse than that when we got home.

It’s true.

😂

Nah the 90s people were just writing ritalin scripts.

it worked though

#StarveTheGrift 🤣🤣🤣 It’s true, it really works

This also cured: bad attitudes, fighting with your siblings, sneaking out of the house, lying, stealing... and a variety of other socially unacceptable behaviors. 😜 I know because I was cured of a few myself.

Will it work on Liberal agitators…?

Without danger there can be no progress. That's the nature of reality.

Or have the office call your parents at work!! That usually kept my ass in line 😂 Nothing like the anticipation of what was gonna happen when they got to sit on that info 3 hours before they got home!!

@FedProm

IF I cried, I was told QUIT crying or I'll give you something to cry about. 🤣😂🤣

My Aunt was a substitute teacher in CA in the 90s/2000s when almost every child was prescribed Ritalin. She was against it. Instead of following instructions to send kids to the office to take their medication, she would send them out to run laps. They came back calmer, focused.

Funny. That is eerily identical to how I cured my 3rd grade son‘s ADHD, that his teacher and principal diagnosed him with, in the middle of the school year. Because he couldn’t pay attention in class. I said, it’s funny that he can beat an entire video game in under eight hours, but you can’t get him to sit still and pay attention for 35 minutes. No worries, I’ll take care of it. 🤛 🦵 💪 🤜 🦵 Honor roll for the rest of his school life. 🤷♂️

And this!

Lmao.

“iT wOrKeD” —Stupid Gen Xer who stopped practicing it on their own children and now complains that the next generation is soft, but would instantly call social services if someone did it today.

@WeThePeople021 When I was young, there was no ADHD diagnosis, but I clearly remember the doctor telling my mom that I was just a high-strung child. No meds, but a lot of outdoor activities. I still am, but I've learned how to deal with it productively

I had a history teacher that had fingers as big as sausages and somewhere he found a thimble to fit the middle one. If you were talking or distracted he would come up behind you and thump your scull.

The 1960 had very hard drugs. ADHD wasn't invented or known then
