@BankofAmerica knows exactly what they’re doing and any of you reading this comment should pull your funds out TODAY!! It’s not televised but they’re often involved in litigations for either erroneously charging fees or other wrongdoings. They also prey heavily on minorities

Receipt Hog is an app on your phone that lets you earn points for small gift cards to like Amazon, but the main reason I have it, is to save pictures of receipts to places. It helps me get rid of the paper copies

She gave lots of good advice at the end. I use my debit card to get cash out. That’s it. I typically don’t even carry it. Everything else goes on a credit card. No matter how small. That way I can reap the benefits of the card AND have protection should anything go wrong.

this is exactly why I use a credit union! I’m insured up to $100k but they always catch fraud, they’ve even flagged my legit purchases as fraud & I’ve had to verify it was me. but man she handled this way better than I would’ve, this is a really good PSA

The real scam was paying $15 for waistbeads. I get them for £1 ($1.20)

A tip here to prevent stuff like this: get a card with a deliberately low limit (500/1000) for transactions like this. That way, you get the protection of a credit card and an automatic way of preventing such large fraud. Save the high limit cards for large reputable companies.
