Oh these dogs are freaking amazing!

I’m an experienced dog owner. Which is why I know I’m not equipped to handle a Mal. I have an Akita, a Mastiff, a border collie/blue Heeler mix, a boxer, an American Bully and a pit/shar pei mix. Not typically easy dogs. But there’s no way I’d have a Mal. They need work and dedication and I’m not that motivated 😂

For most, unless you have a big property, they’re a huge pain in the ass.

My son recently slept over a friend’s house and they were dog sitting a family member’s female Belgian Malinois. I couldn’t believe how sweet and affectionate she was, even with the kiddos playing! 💖 Such a great dog!

I’ve always owned strong breeds. Bulldogs, Boxers, and now Old English Bulls. OEB’s are strong, athletic, smart, and stubborn. Loyal as heck and demanding, especially young males. Anyway, Belgian Malinois are another level. I finally met a 2 yr old male. OMG. He could do it all and wanted to do more. The problem is that they are becoming very popular, and there are lots of people breeding pups. This dog requires a special owner. I see a lot of yahoos buying them, failing, and dumping this beautiful animal. Also, fighting rings do still exist. Makes my stomach turn.
