At least wear a hard hat. Have not seen anyone work this hard in a long while. We at least had 4 man crews in 1980 in the Oilfields of East Texas.

12 to 14 hours of this when someone didn’t show up for work. You learn quick to let the slips ride up and then pull em. Worked the floor solo a many of night. Kinda of miss it. You wouldn’t understand unless you’ve done it.

i roughnecked /motorhand/derrick hand for hightower drilling back in the day . finally , i see a good toss of the chain ,throw it high and drop the wraps. we had two sets of tongs and always coiled the chain on the bottom set. could be drilling spud hole ? small rig.

At least he stacked the wraps on top of the tool joint. Bump em up with the chain...that duplex don't put up but 500psi.
