Tucker Carlson also criticized the ADL for trying to get advertisers to boycott him: "Oh, f— them... it’s operated by a guy who’s… just an apparatchik of the Democratic Party." The situation escalated this morning when Elon Musk shared that “the ADL has been trying to kill this platform by falsely accusing it & me of being anti-Semitic." He said they have been "so aggressive in their demands to ban social media accounts for even minor infractions.” Elon rightly points out that the ADL “are ironically the biggest generators of anti-Semitism on this platform” as their extreme censorship inadvertently causes people to become anti-Semitic. Elon shared that X’s “US advertising revenue is still down 60%, primarily due to pressure on advertisers by ADL (that's what advertisers tell us), so they almost succeeded in killing 𝕏/Twitter!" Until Elon can address the ADL problem, 𝕏 is fighting an uphill battle. MY THOUGHTS: The ADL’s mission is honorable and necessary: Countering anti-Semitism and other forms of bigotry. We taxpayers fund the ADL, and we must act. We cannot expect Elon or anyone to alone fight centralized censorship, and 𝕏 is the last major social media platform that supports Free Speech.
