Ok, I want to start making YouTube style tutorial videos this is my first attempt would love feedback before posting over on YT. “How to make rustic board fence”

That is a great idea! I would consider defining who your audience is because you may be speaking to people who have no idea what an auger or a post hole digger is. Some people need to be taught like they are brand new and have no idea what anything is. It would require more work on your part, but it’s something to think about.

Maybe go over the essential tools needed for most farm projects, and why “cordless” is worth the investment. Unless a person grew up doing this stuff, they won’t know the basics…great video😬

Fantastic work! It would help a lot of viewers if you showed some quick close-ups og parts of the process, the steps that seem obvious to many. For example a close-up of driving in the top screw of the face boards and plumming it up with the level.

Shawn,nice job and clear instructions.Would you change your procedure for land that is not flat? We put up 2 miles of fencing on our farm and learned that we could not drill/ set all posts ahead of time the distance between them would change.Also for horses boards inside of posts

The start of my garden. I like that you talk about “spacers”, I myself own a nice laser, that I’m used to using, so it easier for me to use it. But with a lot of fence boards, a couple of spacers, makes the work run smoother and usually faster.

looks great. once put up a split rail fence for my GARDENING client. I had never done b4. As a YT user - id slow down steps, give tips on what 1 runs into as problems u can’t anticipate, 1st time out. I had never used an auger but did that day, I can now say I built a 40’ fence

Looks great! Silly question, once you have the posts in the ground, are you cementing them in as well or. Is the hole deep enough to secure the posts?

Nice but not big enough for a cane corso that weighs 200 lbs 😢I’d need to do at the very least a 6’ fence But it would work great as you say for smaller dogs
