After being evacuated from the plane, the pilot says they later found that the hatch on the bottom of the plane had been opened. "The airplane was locked and sealed when I left the airplane, so something else was going on that I couldn't explain." The flight crew said there were four "Arabs" on the plane who demanded that the flight take off when flight attendants tried giving them food. One of the men had requested to see the cockpit before takeoff. The crew says they were interviewed by the FBI, but never heard back, and never found out if the men were questioned or not. Here is the full audio of the incident. You can see that American was told to line up and wait for landing traffic. They may have been looking at the Tradewind Aviation PC-12 (GOODSPEED82) that landed and then thought they were all good. The Delta flight was also told that traffic was holding runway 27 for them. It maybe time to reevaluate the rules of traffic departing and landing on intersecting runways at major airports. 🤷‍♂️ Audio via ATC
