OK state legislators torch State Superintendent Ryan Walters (R) for losing federal funding for schools and being locked out of his own Department of Education website for years: "So just for clarity, you do not have access to your website, to update your website?" "Correct."

Hey folks, seeing @HeartlandSignal in your feed for the first time? Were the digital newsroom of @wcpt820, covering politics in Middle America. We catch moments like this (government officials forgetting their passwords…). Please support our work and give us a follow!

They all seem unqualified for the job. I think it’s time for DEI hires.

The best part of the guy who testified that they started working with the state a couple of weeks ago to regain access — “since it funneled up that this was a concern.” Two years w/o access to their own website and they didn’t care? 🤣

At this point, if the legislators, school board & governor allow this man to continue his position, there will be no public school system left by the end of his term. What is done after this will tell us exactly who does or doesn't want a public school system in our state.

This is exactly what happens when people are elected/appointed to run a culture war. Not manage an important government service.

After watching this and then thinking about it.. I have questions? Is anyone doing any security updates? Is it even being backed up? What about the program.. is it being updated? The server? Who has control of the server, the program, the info? Where is the IT depart?

This is the guy who makes videos while he's driving, right? There's a better than even chance he has a secret life that eventually will be exposed.

So they left. Hmmmm. Were these the employees that were fired for stupid reasons, or the employees who were not given access to info needed to do their job, or the employees that cared about students and the leaders didn’t?

Good management ensures there is always someone able to take over when an employee leaves. Good management also recognizes when it's screwed up and moves quickly to address problems.

@SBellSouth1 “ Just to be clear sir, we do update our X account and post Tik Tok videos every week “
