daniela talked about the collab with #YEONJUN ('Let Me Tell You') on her live! 👩🏻 and then i did my collab with yeonjun! of txt! and that was also so cool, that was filmed in thailand. that was also my first time going to thailand! 👩🏻 and that was so cool, he was so nice! he’s so talented and getting to work with him was.. just like an honor, seriously. getting to do a collab on someone’s song is really really cool. i’m very grateful i got to do that ☺️ 👩🏻 and i got to dance with him too! and i think we filmed that at i think at.. i think it was like 2am, i think we wrapped at 3am.. it was pretty crazy 👩🏻 but that was so so awesome! i love the song.. it’s such a catchy song. if you haven’t heard it, it’s called ‘let me tell you’ and it’s so good, it’s so catchy and yeah! i got to feature and that was so dope! i loved doing it, i love it

I played with Elina in 2015, but never performed. I was about to, but I had an emergency: We’d just played the overture and I was called off stage and informed that my wife was in an ambulance with chest pains. When asked what I wanted to do, I said “I’m out” and ran out of the hall in my tuxedo, left my clarinets on stage. As I ran out the door the last thing I heard over the PA was the clarinet solo echoing the opening, played by my colleague on no rehearsal. “It’s gonna be ok” I thought as I sprinted for my car. Sadly my wife was not ok, passing away two days later. I always think of this when I hear the Sibelius Violin Concerto now, in a way it was the perfect piece for the occasion, the ultimate expression of loneliness. Here’s Elina playing it that same year, the music of her people. Hope her violin is ok:

I was surprised by such a fantastic marketing pitch— - for my own book, - from someone who was selling my own PDF book to me for ₹2,500, - a PDF book which I myself had provided to him for free. For a moment, I thought I lacked marketing skills. Then I reminded myself that I chose ethics over selling dreams to innocent traders, because that book alone was not practical without a proper video course. But his conviction and confidence in my book, which he had received just 42 days earlier, was extraordinary. Even I do not have that level of confidence in that book alone. That is why I provided it free with a ₹1,900 course. The way he was proudly sharing it on his Telegram channel and Twitter, along with his UPI ID, payment screenshots, and all public proof that could be used for legal action, made me think he was just an innocent kid who did not know what he was doing. So I kept all the screenshots with me and forgave him. But do you really think he was innocent?

The recent budget bill is the most glaring example. She allowed it to move onto the floor. She did nothing — used none of her power to slow it down or force a more public conversation about it. And then, when it was on the floor, she voted against it. That way she can come back to Maine and say, “See, I was against it.” But she wasn’t against it. If she had been, she would have shut it down or at least slowed it down. She did none of that. Susan Collins does not represent the interests of working Mainers

The translator Anton Hur shared a story about how RM “saves” the Korean literature and about his impact on publishers and sales. 👦🏻 My favorite live-saving, Namjoon story that I have is that…so a long time ago, I picked up this book by Lee Seong Bok about their aphorisms, about his poetry writing, about his poetics. It’s a very obscure topic, who reads about poetics?! But I read this book, it’s called ‘Indeterminate Inflorescence’ and I loved it! I was like, ‘Oh this is the life book, it’s like it contains all of my artistic ambitions in this one book but no one is going to publish it because no one is going to allow me to translate a book about Korean poetics so but I did find one publisher, it’s not even in New York, it’s in Seattle…And one tiny publisher that said ‘Okay, we’ll publish this book’, and then, a month before this book was supposed to come out, Namjoon posted about the aphorisms by Lee Seong Bok and when I saw that I thought like the angels were singing in the heaven and like manna was raining on me…I could not believe that this was happening and then like the first print got sold out, the second, the third got sold out. This tiny book that you know, it wasn’t a hit in Korea, it was like completely obscure. When I mentioned in Korea people were like ‘Lee Seong Bok wrote a book about aphorisms?’ like even if they know who Lee Seong Bok is…And now we have a, I think they’ll allow me to announce it but we have a deal for Lee Seong Bok’s poetry collection that summer’s end, that also Namjoon posted so I’m just so grateful to RM for saving Korean literature! 🔗 🔗 #RM #방탄소년단RM #김남준 #BTSRM
