for the record - I don’t personally think Nintendo is much better. It’s just what I’ve heard. With their virtual game cards, and cartridges just having licenses not the whole game, they are half way to digital themselves. But from what I understand, in Japan they are much bigger on physical media. So they are less inclined to jump on Sony’s “discontinue physical media” bandwagon, for now at least. 🤷‍♀️ I just want the freedom to choose my media❣️

Nintendo sucks ass. But yes they are being physical however don’t forget about that stupid game Key card thing so that’s technically 50-50 because they can shut something down and you can’t play that anymore.

PS Plus cancellation should only be the start. Remove your credit card. Remove the internet of the console. Sony meassures value per user. You drop their MAU by their next fiscal quarter, and you are gonna see a lot changes in how they move.

My only deal with switching to Nintendo is that many of their games are just keycards that allow you to download the game. If they take a game down, then that keycard is worthless, as you won’t be able to download the game.

We haven’t owned physical games in a while physical games now are pretty much digital games with the illusion of physical. The game is not on the disc

PlayStation is no longer building a legacy. It's dismantling it. Every anti-consumer decision pushes more players away. This doesn't look like evolution—it looks like the beginning of the end.

What if this whole thing was their plan from the beginning? Create scarcity, which creates demand. It would look like they listened to their audience when they backtrack, allowing them to raise prices on their games because of an inflated cost point tied to disk manufacturing.

Big diff between PS and budlight is one is mainly a US audience vs global. living outside the US i can tell u, me and everyone i know with a PS mainly buy digital, becuase it is way cheaper and faster. alot of u guys dont take that into account, it might be digital is more popul

Also physical copies is only the tip of the ice berg. Because even with a disc Sony can decide to deletes servers or updates. Essentially leaving you with a disc that does nothing.
