Okay real talk, the game will never be able to be actually challenging as long as builds like this exist. This is m20 and realistically only requires 2 pieces of gear, it won’t 1 shot like this but killing a raid by just standing next to it is absurd.... 🤣 platinum no guns no meleeshow more

That’s PART of what borderlands is, but the gear shouldnt make the takedown they said Was designed to be the hardest content in the game braindead easy. This is 2 pieces of gear, TWO! Games not hard, just a build check

hard cus they’re bad or is it hard cus their gear/build is bad? Name 1 thing that is hard about this takedown that can’t be fixed by just having better gear. If it’s supposed to be hard on a skill level it failed If it’s supposed to be hard in a build testing way, it failed.

Please Read what I’ve been saying, I don’t think your bad because u can’t do the takedown, i think you can’t do the takedown cus the build and gear aren’t good enough. i think 99.9% of players are heald back by their gear. This takedown does not test skill.

We’re never getting a challenging entry to this series again, people still act like they know what they’re talking about when they mention the maybe 3 builds that are “op” in a previous title, this is what EVERY build feels like after bl3.

Or you could just not use the obviously bugged interaction? I'm sure GB is well aware of this and they have tried to fix this in the past. It's just painfully obvious most of Rafa's other builds aren't in a great place so they are withholding the nerf hammer.

Define 'balanced'. Because Rafa is one of the classes which feels fair outside of this 1 interaction. And many fear that if GB nerfs this, they don't fundamentally understand how to buff melee so it's viable. So we are left with yet another completely useless action skill.

I'd rather they just leave this alone until they buff the rest of his kit. I don't think Rafa is anywhere as bad as many players think he is, but hitting Rafa post-Dancer nerf is like nerfing the Avenger bee-shield bug, which would seriously hurt Axton.

I think rafa is totally fine outside of the takedown, he can handle UVH7 easily, if we balance all the characters for m20, the entire rest of the game will be even easier

I mean he feels fair in TUVH7 - until you compare him to the other classes. As I said, he is Axton. Axton can handle OP10 easily with the right gear (outside of the raids, similar to Rafa). But there's a reason why Axton is often brought to par with the other classes in mods.

And it is pretty widely agreed amongst the player base that there are a lot of aspects of Rafa's kit that needs buffs. Apophis lance + peacebreaker and their capstones are terrible. Gun builds feel half-baked outside of Dancer etc.

The way the game is setup doing dps will always be simple. If they want to make fights hard they need more mechanics AND potentially even more importantly they need to make it easier for the player to die. Rework passive healing and make enemies hurt more

Yeah, the amount of reused guns is absurd, 2 of the new shinies are bugged and giving the player the shiny of the gun that it was copied from instead of the actual gun, it’s awful

I was disappointed from day 1, I really admire action skills but when I saw that the "Siren" has two trees which are based on pets , and the third is a beam tosser just to trigger effects, I instantly compared that with Amara ,, and you got the point same goes for all .. Sigh ..

This is such a dumb take. Yeah pve games have OP exploits, bl2 is no different. You’re just looking for things to justify the “game is too easy” take. You’re also a full time employee at the ball crushing factory when is comes to “challenge” (this is like fireworks to a ww2 vet)

Yeah but it’s a very specific bugged interaction and you’re pointing it out like it’s a good example to say “look this content isn’t challenging” when true m20 runs are 100% a good test of a build (btw I think the bossfight itself is poorly designed)

M20 is too much, if a build is m20 viable it should be nerfed cus if it’s that good no other content in the game will challenge the player

What kind of logic is that? Why have content if you’re never able to clear it? There needs to be something for dedicated players to work towards beating. Overcoming that challenge should make everything easier, unless you want everything to have the same difficulty

Yes, but the gap between normal play and max play shouldn’t be that big of a gap, that doesn’t make challenge at that point, it just limits options. If they patched in m100 tomorrow do you think they should buff all the builds to play at that level? No bc the rest of the game-

@MrTx01_ I see your point, I mean I agree to a certain degree, but my main issue is I think you’re exaggerating a lil much. Yes groundbreaker is dumb but it doesn’t make the whole game easy for other builds. I’d say true m20 is a reasonable jump in difficulty compared to normal true uvh7

It's pretty obvious that the Dancer nerf was needed because now everyone can just do this instead.

this is a 2 fold problem for 1 the game is just violently badly balanced and designed thats just how it is, and tons of bandaid fixes wont fix it thats because all these difficulty sliders make it impossible to impose functional and tight balancing thats just reality
