What was the problem with the weed ticket that the cop wanted it back so bad? I've always been told by cops that once they start writing a ticket, they can't void it because they'll get in trouble.

Cops trying hard to save his own hide. No other reason he'd want to void the ticket.

He wants to void the ticket so he can write him another one for a different crime. He said he charged him incorrectly. Same thing happened to a buddy in college, cop asked him just before court if he could take the ticket back so he could charge him correctly. Judge tossed it.

If they’re in the US, From what’s been shown, looks like the copper is in the wrong. He stopped Danny w/out legal cause for detention. But it sounds like they might be Canadian, so possibly different standards?
