Just. The. Best. I read something somewhere sometime that Walt Disney remarked that Disney animation was so expensive, it hardly was worth it. (Remember, there was once a time when a movie’s income was made in the theater. POSSIBLY it could make money on one of the three network stations available, IF it was picked up.) Don’t know if the story is true, but it sounds plausible. A typical movie like this took - give-or-take - 24 individual and drawn gel frames PER SECOND of movie scene! Mr Phone Calculator says that, for a 2 hr movie, they needed 175,000 individual hand drawn scenes. I’m so glad that they made these movies despite the cost.

We raised our daughters, watching old Disney (and lots of other stuff, of course). New Disney is garbage.

My son watched that movie every day,his Dad and I knew every line..good days💕

Do you follow @UncleWalt1971? He posts about Walt and old Disney all the time. I highly recommend him to anyone who grew up on the old magic & wonder Disney used to represent.

Yes the old Disney cartoons and funny movies like The Love Bug, etc. were so wonderful to have growing up. But it has been so sad to see the toxic sludge that Disney is made of now and correspondingly, their movies now are terrible..

I have had 5 Dalmations because of this movie. I married at 22, my husband, on our first anniversary 1973, decided we needed a doggo. He went to the local pet store and found the perfect dog. Marne, despite being from a puppy farm and being 3 months old, she was the best pet ever.

Yes before they became so Woke tat you can't even stand to watch them anymore. I used all of their old movies for my kids. but now I won't show my Grandchildren even the old movies because they might decide they like Disney, and they are so Woke anymore that I don't want my family to have anything to do with them.

Mr Walt Disney would be so disappointed at what his wonderful creation has become. As I child on Sunday evenings I was always so excited to watch what going to be on Disney

As other children who have Disney animators in their family have probably experienced, I must say that the imagination of how wonderful EVERYTHING around you was, came to life in your mind, lingers into adult hood and has kept my heart young. I'm thankful.

Wouldn't it wonderful if young people could *re-discover* this kind of romance?
