Misinformation sadly, the cold shoulder is in fact incorrect, it came from a mistranslation of an the Volgate Bible literally meaning stubborn shoulder, your example is folk etymology and incorrect but the rest as far as I'm aware is correct, I love meanings of old sayings

I understood bakers dozen to be an extra roll for the kids to eat on the way home and still have a dozen whey you got home. Cold shoulder….never heard that explained.
