Diesel prices are brutal, but breaking even? Not on my watch. As a commission-based dispatcher, if my drivers aren't making money, neither am I. No cheap freight in my house. Negotiate hard, say NO to bad rates, and keep those trucks profitable. Good luck out there, & drive safe!

Oil production is down, not refining capacity. The blame lies squarely on the oil companies who have shut down production these past few months to drive up prices through an artificially created shortage. I have friends who work in the oil fields in Midland, Odessa, and the RGV like Sanchez. They were told they were going to be out of work from May through August earlier this year.
