That caveat makes no sense. Either you are happy to take advantage of an incapacitated goalkeeper or you’re not. Liverpool effectively had no keeper at the moment of the shot, regardless of whether the injury was treatable.

It’s a tough one, looks bad at the time and generates a sense of unfairness, but if a Liverpool player had scored in similar circumstances I’d no doubt have tried to defend it.

I’m an LFC fan but i was pissed off our players didn’t play to the whistle, wasn’t a head injury so well within their rights to play on. Should’ve defended until the ref stopped play.
