If they want to engage the fans better, then they have to show this field events on TV live as the drama unfolds, not just showing the best jump after it happens. Theses events can be so dramatic as the happen - men’s LJ and Women’s TJ in Budapest were fantastic!

the governing bodies really need to get buy in from Athletes before proposing such fundamental changes. I've yet to see a single current or ex long jumper be anything but strongly opposed to it. the viewer will have no excitement at point of landing, which is the point.
