Ever since my brother Mr P, D’banj, 2Face, Phyno, and Don Jazzy stopped releasing music consistently, I believe Nigerian Afrobeats has lost its ground. Right now, I can only see two artists truly carrying the sound: Davido and rema. These are the only two I currently recognize as leading Afrobeats. Let’s leave Wizkid out of this conversation. He has not been performing at his peak in years. While he still has fans who love his music , I am speaking specifically about those I see leading the genre today. In my honest opinion, Wizkid and Burna should consider retiring. They have played Thier part's although Burna is still touring . The rising stars I'm watching are tems, Ayra Starr, seyi vibe, and Omah Lay. It is h£artb£aking. I believe Fela would be deeply disappointed wherever he is, seeing Afrobeats decline to this point
