Evansville 6’11 Big Connor Turnbull is one of the most underrated prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft. Turnbull had a breakout stretch in 2025 where he averaged 13/6/2 and 2.4 BPG throughout his last 16 games while also shooting 60% from the field. Turnbulls mix of rim protection, vertical athleticsm, and passing really stands out at his size. He was was one of 3 players since 2008 to have a BLK% of 10, a AST% of 15 and make 30 dunks or more. Turnbull’s defensive impact late in the season was among the best in the country and he was named the MVC DPOY, Turnbull also has a modern offensive game playing as a lob threat and a player who can create plays for himself and others offensively. Turnbull was one of the best returners in the MVC and he’s set to be one of the biggest stock risers in all of mid major basketball this season.

He tells me he’s recently heard from the following: - Arizona (visiting tomorrow) - North Carolina - Virginia Tech - Oklahoma - Lots of other HM+ schools Williams finished top-3 in the country in blocks last season, establishing himself as one of the most elite rim protectors. His 11.1% BLK rate placed him in the 98th percentile. Offensively, he inserted himself as a lob threat with the ability to knock down open jumpers. Aaron Rodgers pressers are a great listen. After the win vs BAL when talking about Pat Freiermuth he noted he likes to throw the “vertical peak” (essentially a dig) vs a MLB & nickel blitz. Also vs 2 man he likes to run stick nods to the TE. Both were executed for big plays. He also shared about how he asks his WRs what they want to run backside or 3x1 sets & how Calvin Austin never really tells him & how in the huddle someone coaxed him into a big play which resulted in the stutter go for a TD. I would avoid man coverage vs Rodgers, even in most 3rd & longs. As far as backside of trips it helps knowing we have Stingley even though DK is back.
