OMG. Fuck these tourists.

Colonizers are absolutely the worst! How can you love nature while you want to “spray” the frog? What in colonizer behavior is going on? I also saw how tourists and white Americans in Mexico are chasing out the Mexican bands because of the bandas being “too noisy”.

I literally LOVED hearing them in PR.. anyone who doesn’t just shouldn’t be on the land. 😭

yeah no visiting somewhere and trying to determine what lives there and not, is crazy. The noise i could get, would be annoying. But never am i gonna colonize an area i dont even live in.

i would sleep like a baby, whose bottle is spiked with whiskey and honey. are you kidding me? the sound of nature, unlike crickets in your house you can't find, is soothing.

When I came back from a long trip in Hawaii I had to play coqui background noise so I could relax and not feel so much heartache from missing the peacefulness there 🥺 and even in Puerto Rico. So soothing and peaceful.

One simple solution : ear plugs. While many people - me included - find these nature sounds soothing, I can understand that other people might be more accustomed to city sounds. Fine. Ear plugs. Or noise canceling headphones.

OMG! My daughter told me they are killing them. I don’t know if that’s true but this sounds like they are. They are so calming and serene to me, a beautiful noise to that space. Why as humans do we think we can play god?

Those frogs sounds peaceful, I wouldn’t mind hearing them in the flesh.
