My oldest daughter needed oxygen when she was born- cord wrapped 3x’s around her neck, born blue 37 years ago. Today she would have been c-section baby but they didn’t do them as often then. She’s a chemist & an amazing Mom now :)

This man has so much experience getting babies to start breathing. He’s excellent at it.

He is calm because he is focused on his job. Everything he is doing is with purpose. He saved that little life. Live long and prosper, little baby 💗

When crying is the most beautiful (and relieving) sound.😍

Amazing 🥲 watching that baby go from blue/white to slowly becoming pink & crying was heartbreaking 💔 and also beautiful.

The baby should be dried, stimulated, suctioned and given positive pressure ventilation. The O2 doesn’t help if the baby isn’t breathing.

Doc seems to almost cry himself, close one, longest resuscitation that I've seen him do. Never saw him look at the camera like that before. My mom says it took the staff a long time to get me to cry after I was born breech & they had to go looking for my other leg during the birth with 30 medical students watching from above through the student observation deck, probably through windows, but maybe in 1971 they weren't so paranoid about germs and no windows? A little delay in oxygen can cause autism, I've read.

He’s NOT a doctor, he’s an IDIOT. This bay shouldve been auctioned immediately! This is not modern medicine in the US, j/S. This baby needed chest / sternum / back rubbing, spraying him with water?! WTH this is malpractice I would’ve lost my MIND.

My god! These babies have got to have some brain damage. This baby is in secondary apnea and stimulating vigorously and prolonged only make things worse. Suction the mouth and nose and position and give PPV with a t-piece resuscitator. You must monitor your o2 pressures.

Calm doing Rubbish. People are just so emotional... That's not how to resuscitate a newborn! He just wasted so much precious time and has caused that baby some level of BRAIN DAMAGE!

By the time he has the baby crying, the trauma and damage is done.

I cannot believe how many resusitations he is posting. This is from IMMEDIATE CORD CLAMP. It deprives the baby of up to 2 lbs of BLOOD Volume that should be in the baby. Read Dr. Morley's work on Delaying Cord Clamp.

Where is the NICU team? Is this in another country? This took entirely too long and only 1 medical professional working on him. This is so hard to watch.

Whether you're clearing a building after an earthquake or giving CPR, anything but calm is a waste of your time and puts life in jeopardy. Yes, calm is very cool! We all should study this man. He gently smiles at success, but keeps his wits about him. Calmly.

This is not praise worthy, this is terrifying. It only proves doctors and hospitals are still clamping the cord too soon at birth.

Why immediately remove the placenta- the life blood ? That’s a crime. Committed all the time. In nature there is a fair amount of time for the baby to absorb everything it needs before it’s removed.

What should he do? Work on him whilst connected to the mother? If the answer is yes, okay. But just be direct.

The baby is BLUE. The Baby should be pink to red. This is due to the cord being cut too soon.

I was told I was in the same situation when I was born. When I imagined that, I was so moved that there was such a wonderful doctor, I couldn’t help but cry.
