Fast forward to the part where the raccoon goes crazy, gives the dog rabies, and they team up to go full Cujo on the entire family.

This little fellow fell out of a tree in the front yard. it is illegal to have them in NC as a pet, but someone raised him for 2 years, then he returned back to the woods. cute little bugger

My kiddos had some baby raccoons that were rescued from a grain silo. My sister's boyfriend was a farmer, and they had shot the momma when they caught her going into the silo (Not knowing she had babies in there), and he felt so badly about the babies, and asked if my kids would be interested in raising them. It was pretty darn neato! ☺️

I had one as a pet for about a year when I was a kid. There are smart.

My mom did, too, sort of! It would come and go. This was in Oregon.
