Very important information. We need to be doing this check regularly. How to Check Linked Numbers --- Dial *996# from any active Nigerian SIM card --- Select the option for "View NIN Status" --- Choose "View Numbers Linked to Your NIN" --- You will receive an SMS listing all...

I have said it many times. The NIN and Sim registration should not have any business been done by a road side agent with no accredited national securely recognized outlet. My MTN Sim I was getting different calls, I went to the MTN office to rectify it, they said it's recycled

All he said is right but the truth is he just revealed the laziness of Nigeria police when it comes to investigations.

Now, imagine you are aware of these criminal acts, and as a police officer, you can't pinpoint or carry out a raid on those suspected outlet of betterstill take it up with the appropriate arm of government that can compel their head office to shoot down those agents.

This one no work, this information is 2 years late. If your NIN bio does not tally with your SIM KYC that is your bios, image, finger print, your line will automatically be barred and totally useless for all SIM functionality.. As usual, @PoliceNG arrived too late.

Who are now supposed to be regulating these people, their outlets and their operations??.why are Nigerians responsible for all tbe inadequacies of the government..it's a pity we're subjected to such fate

My mtn line dey show chinasa when I try check nin abi na bvn I dey find sef, new sim wey I buy for chevron o

The swrvice provider should do a visual verification on their apps ...so you can do verification and check if another number is link to ur NiN.or NIN too should have the option on thier app

Be like Una dey m@d, how has negligence of duty become the responsibility of Nigerians? This is a failure of the Nigerian government at large; why should Nigerians be the ones to pay for it? Sometimes you come here and spill without thinking.

The last time I checked it out I found two numbers that's not mine and I told them to remove it then they told me that I will have to pay the debit that's on the sims before they can remove it for me.

It's a nice information but most of this service providers aren't close to us at all. So it's faster with those agents

Who licenses those agents ? So the service providers won’t be held responsible?

Identity theft and ignorance are not the same.

Information gidi ni

Omo this one na true oo cause tell me how I’m receiving alert from opay and I don’t have opay and momo God abeg ooo

@AdewolePappy You can use *966# to confirm the Airtel numbers that are linked to your NIN for Airtel subscribers

E b like say I hear transport money

You claim to be smart in knowing the NIN associated with the sim but can't arrest terrorist making use of social account and can't thoroughly investigate the calls voice or SMS geolocation of the person making the calls but can easily arrest the NIN onwer cus it's a. easy work

Thank you officer.

Because you people refuse to move with the world advancement, what then is identity theft. You've locked innocent folks up for years on offenses they did not commit. Let the police do their due diligence, and stop all this nonsense. Assholes!

This an important information 👌

Abeg na person wey dey alive go do crimanal things we now if this governmwnt go like this we no go survive again fuel 1500

I’ve CC’d you on this repost for the record. My number was reassigned to another person despite my Keep My Number request and an ongoing SIM-swap application that MTN had already acknowledged. It has now been over a month, and I want this clearly documented: I do not want to hear tomorrow that this number has been used for fraud, loans, criminal activity or anything else connected to my identity. The number was linked to my banking and other important records. I have repeatedly raised this with MTN and asked for it to be restored. So if anything happens involving that number, my money, my identity or any activity falsely associated with me, there is already a clear paper trail showing that I reported this issue and challenged the reassignment. @PoliceNG @NgComCommission please take note.

We need more branches then

@GloWorld please can I send an email to help me confirm the numbers links to my NIN?

A bunch of vicious people are operating in Nigeria.

You are right sir it happened to me, I detected through NIN app

Let close such outlets if they are into fraud...

So you guys cannot just create a portal where Nigerians can just check and delete by themselves. This is 2026 Naija

Hmm may God help us ooo
