This is exactly what I expected from the U-Turn changes in Thoraipakkam by Greater Chennai Traffic Police. Commuters will start taking the opposite-side service roads, creating another choke point for vehicles coming from that direction. Even buses are using OMR service roads nowadays. This change has totally screwed up the traffic flow. 🤦‍♂️

I think something people miss about this scene is that Whitaker is NOT copying Robby’s lesson to the letter. Robby’s original advice was: “You learn to live with it, learn to accept it, and try to find balance if you can.” But that’s not quite what Whitaker says: “You try to accept it and try to find balance.” Key difference being that Robby’s lesson was to LEARN to accept it and live with it. But Whitaker says you have to TRY to accept it, because he still hasn’t found a way to accept death. It still hits him as hard as it did with Mr. Milton. He also completely omits learning to “live with it” because I think for Whitaker it’s something he rejects completely. He doesn’t want to “live with” the fact that people die.. he wants to PREVENT IT at all costs. The only thing Whitaker still agrees on is that you have to try and find balance. Something he continues to try to do. He can’t give the advice exactly because he hasn’t implemented it himself fully yet. I found that pretty interesting.

Jimmy Kimmel just pushed back against Melania Trump. Brilliant! "I agree that hateful and violent rhetoric is something we should reject. I do, and I think a great place to start, to dial that back, would be to have a conversation with your husband."

Alright, started thinking about date range presets like "last 7 days" and what not. I think you want them to be more advanced than simple "set the start and end date to this range" presets I think we should make the preset its own state so we can store it and reference it on the backend and cache it in the users session

Fuzzhead and I test-fired the Diabolus rifle at a local range the other day. It did very well, with just a few hiccups that are to be expected with a prototype. Everyone who sees and handles this gun likes it, and I think it's going to be a bit hit once we start shipping 'em!

Totally agree. We definitely should define a swing and automating it is great. It's the actual definition that I have a question with. Personally, I think 45 degrees is too liberal (parallel to the foul line). To me, if the bat goes past parallel with the plate/breaking wrists it should be a swing (0 degrees). I'm pitcher friendly, obviously, but I don't think you should be able to hit a ball 300' with a "non swing" ! 😁

It is about the principle that borders cannot be changed by force, that a people cannot be bought, and that small countries should not have to fear larger ones. The theoretical foundation of justice lies in the rules by which we ought to live — rules that must be truly human. But what, precisely, should they be? : The author grounds justice in the rules we ought to live by, insisting these rules must be genuinely human. They cannot be arbitrary, imposed, or derived from abstract dogma. They must arise from what it means to be human: our capacity for reason, empathy, dignity, and mutual flourishing. Yet the question remains open and urgent: what, precisely, should those rules be? The answer cannot be a fixed list handed down from the past. It must be discovered and refined through collective reflection, honest dialogue, and lived experience. Rules that protect freedom while fostering responsibility. Rules that honor individuality without sacrificing solidarity. Rules that value truth over comfort and justice over convenience. Justice is not a finished code. It is an ongoing human project. The theoretical foundation is clear: the rules must be worthy of us. The real work is to define, test, and live by them.
