Not really a fan but had a Flyers win series tix as a sizable underdog from The Flamingo. Won a nice chunk, very memorable. Also funny to see Jags knock the mighty Pens out of the playoffs.

The civic arena was a great place.

You know what the bitch if it was? He had a shoulder separation or something on that hit and was ineffective in the finals And for those that don’t remember: he was the best player in the league that year. He finished 1 point behind ovechkin and they gave him the hart instead

Watched this at the Mellon big screen. The place erupted, and we knew the score was coming from the cheers inside and the 1-2 second broadcast delay.

The NHL being on Versus during the 87/8 + 71 era was a disgrace.
