The damage might be from bad pack hygiene. You should stop putting them inside a card saver. Put a pack sleeve on, put the pack in a card saver sleeve with a card saver behind it. Similar protection without risk of damaging contents.

I don’t put them in card savers personally, it’s often how they are sold though. I do what you do it’s the best way to keep them safe long term 👍
