Je me suis rendu chez l'individu le plus instruit que j'ai rencontré de toute ma vie, un philanthrope, un général, le premier pilote noir de l'Air Force, un homme d'affaires possédant plus de 25 entreprises opérationnelles dans le monde entier, le Dr Robert. Qui est aussi mon père Adoptif, Je me demandais quoi offrir à un homme qui possède tout, une richesse incommensurable et un parcours qui ressemble à un mythe. Après m'être longuement interrogé, j'ai décidé de lui offrir deux beaux ouvrages, des cadeaux que l'argent ne peut acheter. J'ai remarqué qu'il les a reçus avec une grande humilité, me remerciant à plusieurs reprises comme s'il avait reçu un luxe qui lui manquait. Ses conseils : 1. Your only problem is that you are too smart for your age and such IQ in Africa, you will never be understood. I advise that you go do your PhD so that it makes more sense. You can’t be as young and as intelligent without a PhD; it’s insane. Please continue your studies, my son, that’s the best Advise for life . 2. Un jour je vais mourir, toi aussi et d’ailleurs tout le monde partira riche ou pauvre, une autre génération existera dont nous aurons aucune idée à quoi ressemblera la vie du futur, mais fais-moi une seule faveur, quand mon jour arrive, à ton arrivée, qu’on t’appelle Dr Corneille et non Mr Corneille. Il y a une grande différence dans ces 2 appellations, tu comprendras plus tard. 3. Il ajoute, ne trahit jamais ton drapeau ou ton entourage, peu importe ta frustration ou besoin, la seule chose que un Homme a de plus précieux, c’est sa loyauté envers lui-même et sa patrie. J’ai servi notre souveraineté toute ma vie, ma jeunesse quand les Oppressions Coloniales étaient monnaie courante, quand dire ce que l’on pensé était un crime pour défendre son pays, aujourd’hui je me réjouis de l’amour et la paix d’Esprit parce que je sais que je n’ai jamais trahi mon pays 4. Peu importe la classe sociale de ton interlocuteur, ne laisse jamais personne te faire croire que tu es moins que lui et qu’il est Dieu, sois serein, charismatique, respectueux et surtout clair dans tes arguments sans filtre. Crains seulement et respecte les autres avec amour et bienveillance. Un milliard est beau, je sais, si tu ajoutes un PhD, ça prend une autre forme. Exemple, autant riche que tu peux devenir, si tu ne sais écrire ou lire t’es mal barré 😅 5. Si tu peux aider un étudiant, fais-le, c’est une force. Apprécie la vie, respecte la vie, et que ta seule religion soit le Ciel. Dieu est réel et c’est le seul maître du temps et de l’univers. 6. Il n’y a pas de raccourcis pour devenir un grand et toucher le sommet. le seul moyen d’imposer le respect à ton nom est le travail, on va te juger dans le bien ou le mal, mais reste focus et travaille pour que 3 générations après celle-ci, parle de toi sur la base de ton travail. 7. Aime les gens, mais fais attention, dans toutes les guerres que j’ai participées comme Général et Commandant des Armées dans plusieurs pays en Afrique ou au-delà des mers, j’ai vu l’homme trahir l’homme pour des intérêts et parfois pour des haines gratuites. 8. La diabolisation dans la politique et les affaires est monnaie courante, ne t’y concentre pas, travaille, fils ! La légèreté dans le travail peut te coûter la vie ou de grosses pertes, un mot mal utilisé dans un contrat peut changer la forme de tout dans les affaires. Lis et signe tes documents seul même si ton Avocat t’influence. 9. La sérénité est une arme que personne ne doit te prendre, même avec une arme pointée à la tête. Reste serein à tes convictions et dis-les tout haut sans filtre. 10. J’aime beaucoup le Congo, vous devriez travailler sans fermer l’œil pour que ce continent vous respecte un Jour, vous êtes l’Espoir du futur mondial,alors soyez Conscients . Aimez-vous. 11. Le meilleur et plus grand héritage que je te lègue, fils, est l’éducation, va faire ton PhD . 12. Quand tu es riche, tout le monde devient ami, quand tu fais une chute libre, les mêmes amis sont les premiers à te critiquer et à créer des histoires sur toi. Reste sage et protège ton entourage.

Canada has many interesting roadside attractions, and I am exploring their history! Today, it is the Pysanka, or Ukrainian Easter Egg, in Vegreville, Alberta! Designed by Paul Sembaliuk, an artist of Ukranian-descent, the Pysanka has become one of the most famous roadside attractions in Canada, with a great history to it. Dedicated in Vegreville in 1975 to celebrate the centennial of the NWMP/RCMP, the Pysanka also celebrates the Ukrainian heritage of the town. It is 31 feet long, three-and-a-half storeys tall and weighs 2.5 tons. It is also a weather vane that moves with the wind! The egg features 1,108 congruent equilateral triangles, 524 concave hexagons, 3,512 visible facets, 6,978 nuts and bolts and 177 internal struts. The software created to cut the tiles with lasers was purchased by NASA & used to cut the tiles for the Space Shuttle. The Pysanka was the first physical structure designed entirely with computer-aided geometric modeling software. In 1978, Queen Elizabeth II came to Vegreville to see the egg during her western tour in conjunction with the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton. First, thanks the Outreach team, led by Mike O’Loughlin, and Jack Consolie and Alessandra Rose, for arranging an amazing pilgrimage and the event at the Jesuit Curia on LGBTQ Catholics. Thanks to the Jesuit Curia as well! Thanks to La Tenda di Gionata for organizing the prayer service and the Mass at the Church of the Gesu and the procession to the Holy Door. Finally, thanks to everyone who came up to me to say hi, to share a story or take a selfie. I’m sorry that I couldn’t spend more time with each of you, but I’m grateful for your kind words. Si, après des mois d’hésitations, le M23 s’est décidé à prendre Uvira, c’est suite aux attaques incessantes, notamment aériennes, des FARDC et des Wazalendo sur les populations du Sud-Kivu, en particulier les Banyamulenge. If, after a year of hesitation, the M23 decided to take Uvira, it was in response to the relentless attacks, particularly from the air, by the FARDC and the Wazalendo on the populations of South Kivu, especially the Banyamulenge. Economically, the capture of Uvira is a game changer. Via Lake Tanganyika, the AFC/M23 will now have access to the ports of Kigoma in Tanzania and Mpulungu in Zambia. This opens up significant economic potential for the Alliance Fleuve Congo. The capture of Uvira is obviously a setback for Félix Tshisekedi's regime in Kinshasa. But the economic centre of power remains in Katanga, and as long as it remains in the hands of the upstart billionaire from Kin, it is unlikely that the regime will collapse. Lubumbashi is still more than 1000 km from Uvira. Between the two lies Kalemie. In the meantime, according to a familiar scenario, we can expect complaints from the ‘international community’ (Belgian Minister Maxime Prévot began last night) and additional pressure. Let us remember that the offensive remains primarily guided by local security considerations: to come to the aid of populations bombed, murdered and discriminated against by the Kinshasa regime, which is supposed to protect its citizens. Les leaders FDLR sont des monstres (4) . ENGLISH BELOW Ce garçon a été enrôlé par les FDLR au Congo à 13 ans. Dans quelles circonstances ? « Je n’avais pas le choix. » Il m’explique que les FDLR, ce n’est pas une milice désorganisée. C’est une armée. Une vraie. D’abord six mois de formation dans un centre d’instruction. Puis, il est versé dans une unité d’élite : les CRAP – Commandement, Recherche et Action en Profondeur. Avec eux, il mène des opérations, y compris au Rwanda. Il est armé d’une mitrailleuse PKM, qu’il utilise avec l’aide d’un pourvoyeur. Il ne veut pas entrer dans les détails : « À la guerre, on tue. C’est la guerre. » Dans les bases FDLR, il y a même des écoles pour enfants. Des infirmiers font office de médecins. Il accompagne parfois ses chefs à des réunions avec les FARDC (armée congolaise). À partir de 2021, cette collaboration s’intensifie. Les FARDC livrent de la nourriture : pâtes, haricots, pommes de terre. En camions militaires. Puis, à partir de 2022, les FDLR commencent à être payés directement via les FARDC. Lui, caporal, touche 120 dollars par mois. Les simples soldats 60. C’est plus que ce que gagne un ouvrier non qualifié en RDC. En 2024, il a 18 ans. Quelque chose se fissure. Il comprend enfin que leurs cibles ne sont pas que des militaires. Ce sont aussi des civils. Des gens comme lui. Qui parlent la même langue. Il se souvient qu’il est rwandais. Il ne veut plus tuer ses frères. En février 2025, il prend la décision la plus risquée de sa vie : fuir. Quitter les FDLR, c’est risquer la mort. Alors il se débrouille pour se faire une fausse identité, une carte d’électeur congolaise. Il économise un peu d’argent. Puis un soir, il s’en va. Dix kilomètres dans la nuit noire, à pied. Il atteint Goma. Il est arrêté deux fois par le M23. Mais sa carte d’électeur – qui fait office de carte d’identité au Congo – le sauve. On le laisse passer. Quand je le rencontre, il a 19 ans, mais il a l'air d'un enfant. Calme. Trop calme. Il parle lentement, sans expression. Il se débrouille encore en français, appris à l’école primaire, mais qu’il n’a plus pratiqué depuis des années. Il n’a pas vu ses parents depuis ses 13 ans ! Sa famille le croyait mort. Ils avaient même organisé des funérailles. . Ceux qui brisent des vies comme la sienne sont des monstres. Les leaders FDLR sont des monstres. #Kivu2025 -------------------------------------------- The FDLR leaders are monsters. This boy was recruited by the FDLR when he had just turned 13. Under what circumstances? "I had no choice." He tells me the FDLR aren’t just a militia. They’re a real army. First, six months of training in a military camp. Then he’s placed in an elite unit: the CRAP – Command, Reconnaissance and Deep Action. With them, he carries out operations, including inside Rwanda. He’s armed with a PKM machine gun, operated with the help of an ammo loader. He doesn’t want to go into detail: “In war, you kill. It’s war,” he says simply. In the FDLR bases, there are even schools for children. Medics act as doctors. He sometimes accompanied his commanders to meetings directly with the FARDC — the Congolese army. From 2021, cooperation with the FARDC intensifies. They start delivering food — pasta, beans, potatoes — in FARDC trucks. Then, from 2022, the FDLR fighters are directly paid by the FARDC. As a corporal, he earns $120 a month. Regular soldiers get $60. That’s more than an unskilled worker in Congo. In 2024, he turns 18. Something shifts. He realizes their attacks also target civilians — people like him, speaking the same language. He remembers he’s Rwandan. He no longer wants to kill his own people. In February 2025, he makes the bravest decision of his life: to leave. Fleeing the FDLR means risking death. So he works on building a false identity, gets a Congolese voter card — which serves as an ID in Congo. He saves a bit of money. One night, he escapes. Walks ten kilometers through the forest, in the dark. He reaches Goma. He’s stopped twice by M23 rebels. But thanks to the voter card, they let him through. When I meet him, he’s 19. But he still looks like a child. He’s strangely calm, speaks slowly, his face blank. He can still speak some French, learned in primary school, but he hasn’t used it in years. He hasn’t seen his parents since he was 13. His family thought he was dead. They even held a funeral for him. The people who destroy children like this are monsters. The FDLR are monsters. #Kivu2025

Il atteint Goma. Il est arrêté deux fois par le M23. Mais sa carte d’électeur – qui fait office de carte d’identité au Congo – le sauve. On le laisse passer. Quand je le rencontre, il a 19 ans, mais il a l'air d'un enfant. Calme. Trop calme. Il parle lentement, sans expression. Il se débrouille encore en français, appris à l’école primaire, mais qu’il n’a plus pratiqué depuis des années. Il n’a pas vu ses parents depuis ses 13 ans ! Sa famille le croyait mort. Ils avaient même organisé des funérailles. . Ceux qui brisent des vies comme la sienne sont des monstres. Les leaders FDLR sont des monstres. #Kivu2025 -------------------------------------------- The FDLR leaders are monsters. This boy was recruited by the FDLR when he had just turned 13. Under what circumstances? "I had no choice." He tells me the FDLR aren’t just a militia. They’re a real army. First, six months of training in a military camp. Then he’s placed in an elite unit: the CRAP – Command, Reconnaissance and Deep Action. With them, he carries out operations, including inside Rwanda. He’s armed with a PKM machine gun, operated with the help of an ammo loader. He doesn’t want to go into detail: “In war, you kill. It’s war,” he says simply. In the FDLR bases, there are even schools for children. Medics act as doctors. He sometimes accompanied his commanders to meetings directly with the FARDC — the Congolese army. From 2021, cooperation with the FARDC intensifies. They start delivering food — pasta, beans, potatoes — in FARDC trucks. Then, from 2022, the FDLR fighters are directly paid by the FARDC. As a corporal, he earns $120 a month. Regular soldiers get $60. That’s more than an unskilled worker in Congo. In 2024, he turns 18. Something shifts. He realizes their attacks also target civilians — people like him, speaking the same language. He remembers he’s Rwandan. He no longer wants to kill his own people. In February 2025, he makes the bravest decision of his life: to leave. Fleeing the FDLR means risking death. So he works on building a false identity, gets a Congolese voter card — which serves as an ID in Congo. He saves a bit of money. One night, he escapes. Walks ten kilometers through the forest, in the dark. He reaches Goma. He’s stopped twice by M23 rebels. But thanks to the voter card, they let him through. When I meet him, he’s 19. But he still looks like a child. He’s strangely calm, speaks slowly, his face blank. He can still speak some French, learned in primary school, but he hasn’t used it in years. He hasn’t seen his parents since he was 13. His family thought he was dead. They even held a funeral for him. The people who destroy children like this are monsters. The FDLR are monsters. #Kivu2025

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them for—nothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your “job” to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. You will need them, as they need you now. THIS IS WHAT PAST WISDOM KNEW. The elders of the past never found the need to piss on the youth and hope for the best.
