100%, infra eng is a different pressure than noc, and noc for enterprise is different than noc for a carrier, sr eng for a company is even more different than line eng. So yeah each as there pressure point. Good luck on adapting. happy packets, happy rockets.

just watch for the signs of pressure. people will start complaining a little louder as the pressure builds. figuring out what to watch that makes people complain is an art and different for every network.

That is an awesome outtake you're sharing. NOCs are great "schools". You learn a lot, and the closer you work from them, the greater respect you have for them. Kudos! That is a great question to take to an interview. "What kind of pressure will I find in this job." 👌 Spot on!

Project pressure sucks as someone who is used to incident pressure. Incidents usually have solid solved states, but projects bite you when you least expect it and always have more of the human element. I 100% feel this. Good to hear that it's a learning point and not a burnout!
