On this Human Rights Day, the EU reaffirms its dedication to protecting and promoting human rights at home and abroad. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. Today, we celebrate the countless individuals whose daily actions make these rights real showing us that human rights are our everyday essentials. Together with Andja, who defends access to justice in Serbia. With Vlad, who calls for safety and dignity in Ukraine. With Tornike, who stands for freedom and truth in Georgia. With Teodora, who speaks up for the safety of women and girls in Moldova. With Gevio, who empowers students through education in Albania.
