On Monday, a solar eclipse will occur across Nova Scotia when the moon passes between the Earth and sun. Thanks to a collaboration with Discovery Centre all Nova Scotia public school students are getting their very own pair of eclipse glasses to view this rare and exciting event!

School is scheduled to proceed as usual given the after-school timing of the event. For a safety video and learning experiences visit:

@DiscoveryCntr I think this is great to do for the students. My only suggestion please announce it sooner. I know many people who went and bought their own or ordered off Amazon in order to get them.

@AVRCE_NS @DiscoveryCntr Are buses going to be driving during the eclipse to take students home? Is that a good idea? @AVRCE_NS, students at many schools will still be on the bus even at the peak.
