Mamdani’s policies do not align with true Democratic values and run counter to the interests of New Yorkers. Someone has to stand up and say it plainly: Mamdani’s brand of radicalism would only drag the party backwards. Efficiency in Government should not be a party issue. By allowing the Republicans to say 'We're for efficient government,' it implies that the Democrats are the opposite of that saying, 'We're for *inefficient government.' If the Democrats want to win this they can take this message and say we're for *more* efficient government and the way we're going to do it is by getting rid of regulatory capture, deals, etc. There's an opportunity for the Democrats to stand up and take the country in the direction that we *all* as Americans need it to go to, which is to have a sustainable federal Government.
