Bassett is the man

Dive into the critical issues shaping economic policy, from President-elect Trump’s sweeping tariff proposals to the challenges Texas faces under rising government spending. Now is the time for bold reforms to protect taxpayers and ensure economic freedom thrives.

The problem isn't the tariffs; it's the uncertainty. No one is going to want to invest in this environment where no one knows what the damn policy will be in three months or two days. You can't plan anything in this environment. Trump is a narcissistic lunatic.

👏

You don’t know what you are talking about. But neither does anyone else in the press. The Trump team is doing great. Something no one else has done in modern times. Trump is taking on the entire world. That takes balls in and of itself. Make no mistake he is winning.

Something like, say, between Scylla and Charybdis?

Trump broke the first rule of politics: never destabilize the economy. He’s shaken the stock market, almost imploded the bond market, and undermined the stability of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency. There is probably no coming back from it now. Trump is too chaotic.

The bigger question is how anyone involved can possibly think mercantilism is somehow a viable option in the 21st century (and anything other than a fundamentally un-American idea, being literally the economic model this country was specifically founded to reject).

Lutnick is too all over the place and also has influence

I love Guy Benson… just not THAT way.

Tariffs seem to elude simple answers. Perhaps Navarro is right on some products/countries, and Bessent is right in others.

Goid job tonight on @SpecialReport

Replace Peter Navarro with NaVorro Bowman.

Great observation Guy !!!!

@JoshKraushaar So, somewhere between stupidity and idiocy, eh Guy?
