This is solid gold truth. Sure both parties have a hand in this, But like you said, its the GOP that is hard against - Workers unions - Destroying regulations - Weaking workers rights & protections And you know damn well that the GOP is not going to flip the script on this.

Yep. Norfolk Southern gave a big FU to the people of East Ohio today!

I saw a comment that the Ohio derailment is directly due to Trump & Republicans in 2018 overturning the Obama rule requiring brake upgrades and stricter management of hazardous materials. It sounds feasible... but it's also playing to my biases, so I'm hesitant to insta-believe!

It’s DEFINITELY corporate greed &profits. When rail workers can’t get time off, sick leave &normal working conditions, &the rail companies cut corners to increase profits, disasters like this result. I am so ashamed Congress didn’t deal w this when they could have, weeks ago😔😡
