On this day, 33 years ago, Duran Duran released "Ordinary World"

One of my favourite songs and one of Duran Duran’s best.

I would say this is right up there with their very best work

Great song!! This song epitomises 90’s for me .

33? Omg I soooo fucking old 😭… absolutely amazing song ❤️

Rescued Duran Duran's career with a survival anthem. 🌍 In 1993, Simon Le Bon recorded this gem using a condenser mic to capture his vocal vulnerability after years of excess, sending them back to the top of the charts. 🎤✨ 🤔 Fun Fact: The iconic guitar solo was achieved by processing a Stratocaster through a volume pedal so the notes sounded like an ethereal synthesizer. Did you know? 🤯

33 years!!!!!! A very top tune indeed 🏆

Have you seen them recently? Still got it.

Save a Prayer is a very close second.

Great track But will always be associated with the cafe scene in layer cake

But I don't cry for yesterday. There's an ordinary world somehow I have to find! 🎧

33? Oh no....

Probably my favourite Duran Duran song. It’s still good today.

Great guitar 🎸 by Warren Cuccurullo. I do 💝 luv the original guitarist Andy Taylor, ofc my favourite was always John. D2 at Madison Square Garden 89 with my Aunt/ Tita Pat great Memories ♥️🙏Forever RIO 👧🏻🌸

Awesome song..memories of my teenage years 🤟

I remember when this song came out. It’s aged wonderfully.

Brilliant song but never liked the group

@lalla68 Their best track by far

@BBCSport during a pre match uefa cup final preview looking back at previous finals had this song playing during @juventusfc destruction of Dortmund in 1993 with Dino Baggio slamming one into the top corner. Majestic 🇮🇹

Went on a stag do to Dusseldorf about two years ago and started singing this while having a piss. Next thing about three or four Germans started singing along. People walking in must of thought what's going on here 😂

33 years later and ‘Ordinary World’ still cuts through the noise like a moment of clarity. Timeless songwriting, emotion you can feel, and a reminder that some records don’t age, they just deepen.✨🎶

Legendary song. I remember watching the video in 1993, a year after Hurricane Andrew hit Miami.

Love this song. I was happy then, I thought I had a future with the woman I loved.

Not a Duranie, but this song is brilliant. I was a student in Colchester when this was released, and it always takes me back to those days.

Great song 🎵
