I remember buying it, aged 16. And with friends, listening to it on repeat, smoking weed, for what was probably weeks. At that time, in context, in the UK, it resonated massively with me. It has a special place in my in my heart. One of my favourite bands ever since🎶👌🔥

US "Boys Don't Cry" LP is best Cure. It sounds like it was recorded by a different band than the rest of their albums. The stripped down beat of 10:15 reminds one of Love's "My Little Red Book." Sometimes less is better, & not filling the ears with a wall of production works

This sounds like Gang of Four butting up against The Smiths 😃
