@REBELC0RK Rare ould times

I remember being in the ground. Unbelievable atmosphere

Fantastic day. Great in the pub afterwards. Everyone talking of how go to italy. I thought Everyone was suddenly a travel agent. My journey took me to yugoslavia(Croatia) & flew to scilly & sardinia before it all ended in Rome. What a time to be alive. Thank God I wasn't married

I was slap bang in the middle of that South Terrace that afternoon. Game itself wasn't much, with the home side easing to a 3-0 win. Anyone else recall 'traders' outside the ground selling t shirts with the 3-0 scoreline adorning the shirt, literally minutes after the game ended!

Watched it as a 2nd year in secondary school all those years ago! Three or four hundred of us crammed into the gym watching it

Poxy FAI, we should be still having nights like this

The Credit Union were overwhelmed on the Friday evening 🤣It was like a court martial..how much ?? and what’s it for ?🤣 We will let you know if your application was successful ✌️It was and what a time to be alive 🇮🇪

Great day but I never understood why we celebrated qualifying that day. We still had to go to Malta and get a result in the last match.

Ah Jimmy Magee, from The Cooley Peninsula, who had commented on so many moments we had to celebrate.

We all had to pay £1 in Scoil Mhuire national school Butlerstown, Co. Waterford. Finished just in time for the bus home. Probably got home and kicked ball with my brothers until dark. Happy times.
