On Thursday, Gov. Jim Pillen signed two executive orders. The first provides temporary diesel tax relief for 90 days. The second allows vehicles hauling seasonal products and livestock to be above normal weight limits by up to 25%.

Call me retarded if I'm wrong, but isn't fuel contracted before planting season? It's a huge part of the picture so I can't help but think you lock the price in to establish the break even point of the crop. I'm just a dumb manager in manufacturing though.

Don't get me wrong, every little bit helps, but this only helps for the fuel used by their semi trucks. Their offload vehicles - tractors & combines, already are using red dyed offload diesel that is not taxed.

Half assed. Suspend ALL state tax on ALL fuels. KISS - KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID and make a legit difference.
