been spending a lot of time designing onboarding lately. making the first few minutes feel simple, intentional and actually worth going through. sharing some of the onboarding work we’ve been cooking for clients.

Update: running natively on Steam Deck, no browser. Also got it running on other consoles, but can't share pics of dev kits. Built the scaffolding for this in minutes with the Rive CLI and GPT-6 Astra, pushed it to the Rive Editor for tuning, deployed with our C++ runtime

Rive x Contra HMI Challenge. We are combining 3 main HMI experiences from 2 vehicles into a unified entry. Having a lot of fun on this one! Can you guess what they are? WIP 👇🔊

This is what 4 months of studying Rive can get you, I started to learn Rive in January and made most of these in May-June.

I just saw a player mention that Chinese foil cards tend to warp, so I want to give a simple explanation 😊 If a card is left completely unprotected, foil cards can warp in humid or very dry climates. But if you place desiccants in the card box and keep the cards in sleeves, I believe even foil cards can stay very flat 👍✨ Also, the Chinese and English alter-art cards use different production processes, so I’m curious which style everyone prefers 👀🎴

The Strength Card channels energy and yield potential. 🔮 Stack your cards, accumulate rares, and climb the ranks. Every $MYSTIC card has a purpose in your deck. 🔥

Did you try the Ancient Flux deck? This archetype turns discarding cards into powerful combos. Fill your board with the very cards you threw away and overwhelm your opponent in the late game!

Exchanging for unowned cards is now a whole lot easier! Instead of exchanging for each missing card in a deck list individually, utilize the new Exchange All Unowned option to save significant time and avoid unnecessary repetitive actions 🔁

Getting a bunch of questions about this! It's a full gpu rendering pipeline with built in shader editor for Rive, which can interleave 2D + 3D. Think WebGPU (minus compute, for now) that runs anywhere, not just the browser. You can implement anything at all. Cell shading. Background blurs. Deformation effects. And yes, even Rive vector components as textures. Shaders are precompiled and ship with your .riv. Minimal runtime size impact. Still WIP.

A One Piece TCG fan shared a video of a man in a Walmart, sorting through red booster Pokémon cards. He shakes and weighs each pack to pick out the heavier ones that are more likely to contain rare holographic cards, leaving the lighter packs behind. This scalping method takes advantage of small weight differences caused by premium cards.
